Absolutely DREADFUL from start to finish.

So, we went their around 3pm one Monday afternoon for a bite to eat - we weren’t expecting brilliant food tbh, but we’re more than happy for just a light snack and a drink for us two and our two girls.

It was busy, so we found a table (I soon noticed that the waitress their had a face like a smacked backside and clearly hated being their, which worried me straight away).

So after we sat down me and my partner went upto the Bar to order. The guy behind the bar was clearly busy in fairness to him, so we waited patiently in a queue for about 15mins or so.

As time went on and the queue went down, and we were right near the front, we were told “go and sit down and someone will come and take your order..” which we couldn’t understand as he had taken a good few orders before us. We were annoyed by that.

But, we did what we were asked to do. We sat patiently for another 15-20mins, then we started to get annoyed. My partner asked the waitress politely “please could you take our order” she said yes, 2mins…

So we waited and waited. No one came - it was like we were invisible. An absolutely DISGRACEFUL WAY to treat people - especially your customers.

So we got up and left, and on the way out I had a blazing row with the female chef, the male chef, and then the young waiter - they basically all blamed me and said you will have to wait there are people before you, to which I replied we have been waiting over 30+mins already and no one has bothered with us at all. I tried to explain and they couldn’t care less any of them, at one point I thought I was going to get into a physical altercation with the young waiter and he wasn’t impressed with me complaining at all, and how forward I was about how bad it had been.

His favourite excuse was “none of them speak English” which by the way was absolute drivel. They just couldn’t be bothered with me.

An absolute disgrace of an establishment this place - AVOID AT ALL COSTS would...

If it is crowded in the restaurant, stay away! I have never experienced so bad service before. They didn’t give us menu’s, so we had to go to the bar and get one ourselves. They were rude when we asked to order food, and said that they would come to the table in a few moments. Instead we just got ignored and after about 30 minutes waiting, I went up to them and asked kindly to order food. They responded by saying it was to busy to take new orders and that we had to wait for another 30 minutes before we could order food. Why couldn’t they just have said that before we wasted almost 40 minutes without getting water, food or even a menu. This happened to 3 other tables as well. Because of the really bad service, we decided to drive 15 minutes to find another taverna.

If you want to be at the vouti beach, which is a beautiful beach, (highly recommend), you should definitely bring your own food and drinks to avoid...

Its a very cozy place with a very nice view.

Because I was scouting the area for beaches I read the reviews of the taverna and was a bit scared that it would be horrible with rude staff, this was absolutely not true. You just need a littlebit of patience. The thing is, they will come to your table to order and there was only one cook. It takes a little time for them to come depending on how many people ordered or how big the group is that is helped before you.

Luckely we are on holiday and time is not an issue. We waited 20 minutes and the server came. Our food was ready really fast. If you do not know their “system” it feels like you are being ignored or forgotten which is not the case. They are just not taking 50 orders at the same time.

Just relax and enjoy the view and drink something cold, its not an all you can eat where everything is ready when you lift...
