There are too many rules. They don't allow playing in the water with paddle, ball , or even a rubber frisbee. " too loud, danger sir, danger". I understand that they want to create a calm and chill atmosphere, but it's a bit too much. The food is bearable. We paid 18€ for an omelette and it was nothing special. The pizza was ok , the burgers were fine, the fruit salad is expensive for the amount of fruits you get. You won't be left hungry, but... The water was the only thing that made us visit it several times - it's just crystal clear. The sun beds are really comfortable , must say that. And if you want to fly with a drone - think again! I wanted to take a picture of the sunset and all of a sudden a middle age woman approaches me and starts threatening me with police and that she's going to sue me , that I'm violating her privacy rights and so on, I told her I have full permission to fly , that the drone is 100m above and maybe 40-50m into the sea , that she is not the main object and there are no restricted fly zone's on the DJI fly app and that I want her to stop bothering me. However she took out of my hands the drone controller with my phone attached to it , she throw it on the ground and stepped on it with the intention of breaking it, and she literally did. Police came and it was a big mess , questioning and explaining. I understood then , that she was someone from the management. She refused to pay for the broken controller, so in that case we were all going to the police department so I can file a complaint. Right before we were supposed to leave the bar, the main manager/boss came to me , we had a conversation and he agreed that the lady mentioned above was wrong and her attitude is unacceptable! Thankfully with him we managed to find a solution to the situation. He was reasonable and quite a nice guy, best of regards to him! Most of the staff were friendly. If it wasn't the drone situation I would've...
Read moreUpdate 10/9/21: Notice to the owner's: you must to admit that your rate from 3,8 (last year) to 3,2 (today) has not fallen by chance. It's the dehavior, the quality of services that doesn't much to the prices you ask. 1)The bottle of water served was warm (yes in a bracket w icecubes, witch never will cold the water under the sun!!), and as I complained a ridiculous excuse was given, "we have problems with our fridges"!! Come on guys BE SERIOUS. 2) Espresso freddo (you have to learn how to prepare it, see 1st picture) , not like you serve it, (see 2nd picture). Espresso freedo must be shaken Not just poor hot espresso in a (plastic) glasse with some ice cubes!! 3) You ask for money for the sunbeds, yes I understand that, BUT they must be clean (was sand on them and no-one came to clean them before we use them) NO Covid sanitary mesures!). Also they were WET!! Yes I know 2 days ago was raining, did you took any precaution to protect them?? NO, just easy money. 4) Salad 12€, too much for a green salad with just tomatoes, orange and no other expensive ingredients... If it was possible, I'll Rare you one star LESS. Below my last year review .
Sept' 2020 Nice place excellent sea, good installations, clean but completely uncompetent staff and owners. We have been here yesterday. Even finding it slightly overpriced (min. consumption 10 or20 € per person (low season), also they charges the bottle of water without ordering it), we decided to book for next day, the same sunbeds/ombrellas. Very bad surprice today, the owner refused our yesterday booking telling us that they keep these sunbeds for their "good clients", (apparently we are not one of them, even if we paid them a day before an important some of money) Of course following a such an unprofessional behavior we left. We moved to another beach-bar "Faros", just few hundreds meters further down and with a rate much better than Lago (4.4 Instead 3.8 in...
Read moreGreat bay, but just about that... We show up 4 people at 12:30 today, Wednesday. We have been informed by a very young and nervous lady at the reception about the minimum consumption per person, we acknowledge that and follow her on the beach in order to be seated. Every umbrella comes with two heavy sunbeds and a coffee table in between, pretty standard stuff. The place was pretty much empty and she led us to one of the umbrellas and told us that they will be providing a bean bag and a collapsible chair for the kids (girl 16, boy 14 yo). I told her we need sunbeds for all 4 of us and she answered their policy is only 1 umbrella per group. I asked her what if we split in two separate groups of 2 each, each with their own tab, unbrella and sunbeds for all. She was trying to squeeze us all 4 under a single small umbrella. She kept repeating the same story about "company's policy, blah, blah, blah" - apparently that was her standard line she had learned by heart without even knowing what it means. To make a long story short, we went our way but on the way out I stopped to talk with a grown-up guy with beard who had the nerve to tell me that "I am gonna fill the place anyways" and the then delivered the Most Epic line ever "Sir we are charging per person here - not per umbrella" !!!! 🙄 Well... since I am paying per person give me my money's worth and don't try to cheat your customers from the get go. 😆 By that time my wife was already sitting in the car and didn't wanna give them our business. It seems that those years of austerity has turned greek people to cheapskates trying to coin up for that "minimum consumption" - that our family more than cover since my kids are ordering steaks and half the menu and we grown-ups are drinking cocktails back to back. There are plenty similar - service oriented venues - in the area that deserve...
