Paralia Vatsa — Attraction in Lixouri Municipality

A lovely, hidden and intimate place. Sandy beach with shallow and clear, refreshing water, faces the open sea. Vatsa Bay is a hidden gem of the island, not known or popular among tourists and never crowded, but well worthy of spending a relaxing day and enjoying drinks and local food at the Spiaggia Vatsa tavern. At first sight you think nice beach.... but the water is full with seaweed and rocks. There are more luxious sunbeds and the normal thin ones. For both you pay 15 euro!! For Kefalonia very expensive. Especially for the thin ones. Really outragious. Same for the drinks. One frappé and one soft drink. 10 euro.... There is a negative vibe due to the very grumpy staff. The tavern there is rubbisch. There are so much more nicer and cheaper beaches at Kefalonia with good taverns and...

The food was tasty, great staff, kid friendly. The sushi on the table next to me that was impressive. They have a lot of good starters and other menu options. I liked the feta cheese cooked in a clay pot, it's cooked with bell peppers and onions, and tomatoe. If you like to eat good food by the beach and feel the sand between your toes with an iced cappuccino from the bar, look no further, this place...
