Vaulted Tomb of Aegisthus — Attraction in Municipality of Argos and Mykines

This tomb was built centuries before Agamemnon, Klytaemnistra, Aegisthus and Orestis came to be. Nevertheless, this was named after Aegisthus, as the names of the other/older Anaxes (Kings) of Mycenae eluded the local common people who strive to attribute the monuments to figures that were easier to find in the more familiar among the surviving ancient texts. The structure is magnificent and easy to visit. Anywhere else this could be a highlighted spectacle in itself. Za swoich lat świetności była to największa budowla kopułowa. Od podstaw miała wielkie bloki kamienne. Każda następna linia bloków była mniejsza aż na szczycie kopuły składała się z kamiennych bloków wielkości cegły. Po prawej strony od wejścia znajduje się otwór drzwiowy do następnej ty razem małej komnaty w której miały znajdować się zwłoki Agamemnona zaś w dużej komnacie jego doczesne kosztowności i sprzęty mające towarzyszyć...
