Paralia Steno — Attraction in Municipality of Astypalaia

Πολύ όμορφη παραλία με άμμο. Στις δυο άκρες της υπάρχουν δύο μαγαζιά, το ένα καντινα (μια χαρά με ταβερνάκι) και το άλλο beach bar ο θεος να το κάνει!!! Γι αυτό και τα 2 αστέρια..... Δυστυχώς είχε ανοίξει ενα μισή μήνα πριν και δεν είχαν την παραμικρή ιδέα,από ότι καταλάβαμε ,για το πώς πρέπει να λειτουργήσει. Το μονο που μπορείς να πεις ότι αξίζει σε αυτό είναι οι τεράστιες ξαπλώστρες του (τύπου κρεβάτι) γιατί κατά τα άλλα δεν..... Προσωπικό με ύφος εκατό καρδιναλίων λες και τους έφεραν από το San tropez για δουλειά. Εξυπηρέτηση εντελώς ανύπαρκτη. Βοηθοί σερβιτόρου στον κόσμο τους (ζήτησα παγάκια γιατί είχε βράσει το νερό μου και ο καφές λόγω ζέστης και μετά από 6 παρακλήσεις μου και μισή ώρα τουλάχιστον τα έφεραν!). Προσφέρει φαγητό... εάν είσαι τυχερός και ο μάγειρας έχει κέφια που όπως μας είπε και ένας νεαρος σερβιτόρος είναι εντελώς για κλωτσιές ο τύπος!!! Παραγγελία που δώσαμε στις 15:00 (3 burgers, 4 club sandwich και 2 μακαρονάδες καρμπονάρα ) την ακύρωσαμε στις 16:30 γιατί δεν είχε έρθει ακόμα και όχι μόνον εμείς αλλά και διπλανές παρέες έκαναν το ίδιο!! Τα μόνα που μας έφεραν ήταν οι 2 μακαρονάδες οι οποίες ήταν παρεμπιπτόντως εξαιρετικές όπως μας είπαν οι τυχεροί που τις έφαγαν αλλά...έφαγαν απο τη παρέα μόνο αυτοί που τις είχαν παραγγείλει. Οι υπόλοιποι κοιτάζαμε!! Βέβαια πρέπει να αναφέρω ότι παραδέχθηκαν το λάθος τους και μας έφεραν δωρεάν μπύρες για να μας καλμαρουν. Η σερβιτόρα όταν ζητήσαμε λογαριασμό και αφού πληρώσαμε όταν της είπαμε ότι είχε κάνει λάθος 4€ μας είπε: οκ Ναι έχω χρεώσει κάποιου άλλου κρεβατιού κάτι επιπλέον αλλά δεν μπορώ να σας επιστρέψω τα χρήματα γιατί τα εισέπραξα τώρα!!! Βρείτε τα με τους άλλους εσείς!!! Ζητήσαμε απόδειξη (120€ περίπου είχαμε πληρώσει συνολικά) και μάλλον δεν τους είχε ξανασυμβεί κάτι τέτοιο μιας και έκαναν 15 λεπτά για να τη φέρουν και αφού πήγε ένας από τη παρέα μας πάνω στο μπαρ να την ζητήσει για δεύτερη φορά. Ελπίζω του χρόνου να είναι καλύτερα οργανωμένοι γιατί σαν μαγαζί αλλά και σαν τοποθεσία είναι πολύ όμορφα.

beautiful beach with gold sand. At both ends there are two shops, a canteen (nice with a tavern) and the other beach bar therefore the 2 stars ..... Unfortunately, it had been opened half a month ago, and they had no idea about how it should work. The only thing you can say is that it's worth the huge loungers (bed type) otherwise ..... Staff in the style of a hundred cardinals as if they were brought from San tropez to work in this bar. Service totally non-existent. Assistant waiters in their world (I asked extra ice cubes for my water and coffee (boiled because of heat) and after 6 requests and at least half an hour they brought it). The bar also offers food ... if you are lucky and the cook has a jolly that as a young waiter told us : the guy is totally for kicking in the ass!! Order given at 15:00 (3 burgers, 4 club sandwich and 2 carbonara spaghetti) we canceled at 16:30 because of the huge delay (others in the bar did the same as we understood) !! The only dishes that brought us were the two macaroni carbonara which were incidentally excellent as the lucky ones who ate them told us ... but only them ate from our company. The rest of us were just looking! Of course I have to say that they admitted their mistake and brought us free beers to calm us. The waitress when we asked for the account and after we paid, we told her that she had made a mistake about the amount of 4 €. She respond to us: ok Yes I might have charged another's bed order but I can not get you the 4 € back because I got it now !!! You have to deal about it with the other guys!!! We demanded a receipt (approximately € 120 in total) and it probably did not happen again because they did 15 minutes to bring it and after one of our friends went to the bar to ask for a second time. I hope next summer will be better organized because both as a bar and as a location are...

A beach appropriate for families, since it has thin golden sand inside and out. Furthermore, there is a swing inside the shallow warm sea. Hence, it is always crowded with families and kids.

However, if they answer the phone, you can book your sunbed for tomorrow. 40€ for privet sunbeds, 35€ for the 1st row in front of the coast, 25€ for the 2nd row and 20€ for the 3rd row. Great spot for anchoring in north winds, clear sandy sea bottom, the stones only near the shore. To there is parking for 10-15 cars and a small cafe at the beach with local food, drinks and very kind people. There are some trees to get shadow from the sun. No other civilization here, which is perfect for to the ones looking for peaceful spot. There is a bus coming from Chora and other parts of the island every other hour.
