Read moreI spent a week in Rhodes and planned a day trip to Chalki—and I’m so glad I did! Although I visited several beaches in Rhodes, none came close to the beauty of Pondamos Beach. Even on the windiest day of our trip, the sea was incredibly calm and crystal clear. And since there were no boats around, the water was absolutely pristine.
We rented a set of two sunbeds and an umbrella for €12. The shower costs €0.50, which I found quite reasonable considering the global water shortage.
At the beach club, we had sandwiches and toast, followed by smoothies later in the day. The prices were similar to those in Rhodes. Everything was just perfect. I truly hope this place stays as unspoiled...

It’s the most popular beach on the island where day-trippers come Rhodes and other islands. As a result, the shoreline is a little dirty even if the water itself is clean.
