We have just had a fantastic day on this beach 31st May. Glorious sunshine all day. Clear flat sea and fabulous food in a nearby taverna and not a spot of rubbish/plastic anywhere. However we understand from talking to a few locals that this beach due to the direction of the sea current and wind direction unfortunately catches loads of plastic and litter from ships and other islands etc etc. So you may be lucky like us and also find a great beach or unlucky. I spent one entire hour fishing plastic out of the ocean. We (yes you and me) should start to take the plastic problem more seriously! It‘s not the responsibility of the locals to clean it up - it is in the responsibility of the ones who tow it into the ocean. Whoever was towing these tons of plastic into the ocean belongs into jail. Otherwise the beach and the view would be magnificent and the locals could enjoy their beautiful scenery...
