I absolutely love this place!!! Every time I return to Crete, I ask my partner to bring me here. I am very difficult to feed as I am vegan, but dear Tassia and the boys always have something lovely for me and lovely rosé wine too. This is an authentic, traditional and friendly place to eat, with great prices. It is very clean, they have modern retractable tents over most of the outdoor seating area to keep the wind out when necessary and the sea view is fabulous Also, it has to be said that the beautiful, neutered, cared for cats here made me shed tears of joy. I have seen too many cats in Greece generally, that are malnourished and terrified, but these babies are healthy, fat and friendly (and they have names). La Taverna "PORTO" (Kanaki) è collocata al centro della baia di Pacheia Ammos, a Creta , con una fantastica veduta sul delizioso , spettacolare golfo di Mirabello. L'ambiente già da solo è straordinariamente attraente. Inoltre la taverna in perfetto stile greco, tovaglie chiare , sedie azzurre , sotto una veranda di legno, induce ad una sosta. La qualità del cibo è superiore alle aspettative. Oltre i classici piatti della cucina greca , nelle mie soste ho potuto apprezzare i piatti a base di pesce. Calamari alla brace , insalata di polpo, sardine alla griglia e soprattutto pesci di medie dimensioni (orate e simili) cotti alla brace appena ordinati. Una segnalazione a parte meritano i fiori di zucca ripieni di riso e le verdure bollite. Molto apprezzato da me ed i miei amici il rapporto qualità prezzo. Servizio efficiente, premuroso. La titolare, la Signora Natasha , di solito si intrattiene , affabilmente , tra i tavoli per comprendere le esigenze del cliente e suggerire le specialità di giornata . Ambiente , panorama , cibo, atmosfera di cordialità , ci inducono a tornare spesso.

The "PORTO" Tavern (Kanaki) is located in the center of the bay of Pacheia Ammos, in Crete, with a fantastic view of the delightful, spectacular Gulf of Mirabello. The environment alone is extraordinarily attractive. Furthermore, the tavern in perfect Greek style, light tablecloths, blue chairs, under a wooden veranda, invites you to stop. The quality of the food is beyond expectations. In addition to the classic Greek dishes, during my stops I was able to appreciate fish-based dishes. Grilled calamari, octopus salad, grilled sardines and above all medium-sized fish (bream and similar) cooked on the grill as soon as you order. The courgette flowers stuffed with rice and the boiled vegetables deserve special mention. The value for money was much appreciated by me and my friends. Efficient, attentive service.
