Ruins of an Artemis temple visible after about a 5 minute walk from the associated museum car park. Note that Google road directions to this site are incorrect as they will lead you to a locked gate. The archaeological site can only be accessed from the Temple of Artemis car park & after purchasing a 6€ ticket which covers both museum and outdoor site.

Leave at least 90 minutes if interested in Greek history as although small, the museum has a reasonable wealth of artefacts and written info although in Greek & English only. Not sure why the museum prefers the term inhumation to burial though.....

30 minutes is probably adequate time to visit the Brauron archaeological site, although there are shaded sitting areas if you want a short rest & toilets are available. The staff here were enthusiastic and interesting to talk to. If you have mobility issues, it is possible for a small car to get down this narrow road and park just outside the...

If you are foreigner I suggest you make a trip out from the city if you hike the way up to the museum.

On your way by foot you will notice that there are some hidden trails that are part of the museum complex itself often the trails are full of water so I will highly recommend wearing clothes to get wet to see the hidden gems of the site.

If you choose to stay dry you can come to the main complex which 90% of people go to and visit the temple as well as the church as well. A day trip would include visiting the Byzantine church that is nearby driving up will have signs as well.

If you are a member of ICOM like myself you will get free admission otherwise the fees for those who have to pay is not too much.

Going at opining is best to avoid the rush of the tourists as well.

The site itself looks amazing with maintained pathways but the staff are not the most accommodating. The last entrance is granted at 3:10 and we were speeding as fast as we could to make it in time. We called ahead to try and let them know we were on our way as we were traveling from Delphi, but they hung up on us as soon as we asked. We arrived with a minute to spare and sprinted to the front door, just to have a staff member shut the door in our face. We tried to visit the site but they had locked it well in advance. Definitely get there before 3 or you’ll be...

Beautiful place, very well preserved site. Entrance is permitted until 15:00, costs 6 euros per adult and includes visit to the archeological site and the museum. The items at the museum are some of the prettiest ancient things I have ever seen. They even have replicas of statues that you can touch. Would have stayed there a couple more hours for sure but my 6-year-old got bored. The boards that are pleced along the path with braille writing on them were scorching hot under the sun. Wouldn't reccomend taking blind people to visit during summer days.
