Avlaki Beach — Attraction in Municipality of Northern Corfu

Wooooohoooooo---so glad we found Avalaki Beach. Thank you Yiota !!!Avalaki is located a couple of kilometers off of the main coastal highway on the NE side of Corfu island. What a wonderful find. This beach is perfectly horseshoe shaped , in late May we found this beach to be very spacious and non crowded. Lots of room , plenty of parking and gorgeously clear waters. The beach itself is rocky , like most Corfu beaches but my -oh -my--the water!!!! So clear. Only very small amounts of rubbish --a few plastic bottles from jerks throwing stuff overboard from boats or discourteous beach-goers. There are several restaurants available as you are driving down the road to the beach but nothing at the beach itself. The water is super-salinated so floating in the water is easy--in fact you probably can't drown if you tried. Final take--Go and enjoy this beautiful and...

Beautiful horseshoe shaped bay with stunning views and the clearest water.

Two negatives though:

1. Rough pebbly beach makes swim shoes an absolute must!
2. Both tavernas are over priced. The one we ate at which was at the opposite end of the bay from the car park charged €15 for two sunbeds even though we had food at the taverna/restaurant. Maybe I'm wrong but I always thought sunbeds were free if you were eating at the establishment. Which brings me to the food. €14 for souvlaki which was five pieces of meat on a skewer and some chips was a bit of a rip off imo. Definitely charging heavily...

A beautiful, spacious beach with crystal clear water and stunning views. It’s not crowded at all, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. If you walk all the way to the right side of the beach, you’ll reach a more natural area without sunbeds and umbrellas, where you can set up your own towels and enjoy a wilder, peaceful atmosphere. It’s just something to keep in mind that it can get a bit windy there. Overall, an ideal beach for anyone looking to enjoy nature away...
