Sadly my last visit of 2023. Only 12 months til i return. I left a long review after my visit one week ago Oct 18 2023 so i wont bore folks with the same details. We had 1 bottle of beer cost €6 1 litre bottle still water €3. A reminder to be prepared or face an expensive day out, unless thats not a problem. I will add the spa closed today at 7pm. And the weather was too nice, no rain today. I travelled today by hire car. It is a small car costing €93 for 5 days so €18 per day. A taxi one way Rhodes to Kallithea €17, so €34 round trip. Even the bus €10 for 2 persons return, and i had to get down to the bus station from my hotel instead of jumping into my Aygo parked 50 metres away. Granted driving in the city is a challenge and wont be to the liking of everyone. But for me driving there was so much better, able to arrive and leave when i wanted rather than sticking to bus times...every 45 mins or so, sometimes longer. I wont name the hire company but the name is similar to the name of the island.

We visited with our 2 kids. We drove to Kallithea springs and parked easily for the beach. We walked up to the spa entrance which was €4 per adult, kids free. It seems that's the only access to the sheltered inlet. Walking through pleasant gardens, we made our way down to the narrow beach, with attractive buildings over seemingly old baths associated with the springs. We left our stuff on a couple of sun loungers, €10 each the going rate, and went into the water with kids and snorkeling masks. Water was lovely, very calm sure to situation, and the distinctive rocks created wonderful opportunity for sitting a range of fishes in amongst the channels and gaps, feeding off the rocks and shimmering in the sunlight. We easily spent 2 hours floating and exploring up the channel. Very relaxing. Sobe boats come quite close in, another way for people to get up close. Well worth a visit.

Kallithea Beach is a pretty nice beach with shallow and crystal clear water, but it's not a good spot for snorkeling. The biggest downside is that it's EXTREMELY crowded, the sunbeds are very close together, so it feels a bit suffocating. Two sunbeds and one umbrella cost between 20€ to 30€ that you can use to buy drinks. You'll also find a few restaurants next to the beach where you can eat. The beach has a place for watersports where you can rent jet ski, paddle boat and some other rides. Overall, it's a decent beach but in full season you'll find it overcrowded.

Stunning place with plenty of parking (grab a spot in the trees with the shade). €4 entry is very reasonable and the toilets are clean and relatively accessible. There are a lot of ramps and steps. The biking has been beautifully restored back to its 1920s heyday. Clear waters are magical and there’s plenty of sun beds with shades. Coffee shop does great drinks, attentive staff and the food looks amazing although we didn't have any we saw plenty. Boats trot into the cove and there’s diving and swimming. Plenty spots for respite from the searing sun.

Si accede pagando il biglietto per visitare le terme, 4 euro a persona. Tutto è molto curato e tenuto bene, dentro c'è l'attrezzatura da spiaggia, l'impatto visivo che si ha accedendo è molto chic, arredato e valorizzato con gusto, ci sono palme e alberi, per terra ghiaino pulito; gli edifici restaurati delle terme danno il La a tutto il complesso. Costo ombrellone e 2 lettini 15 euro ( agosto 2022) con inclusi due drinks a scelta fra quelli proposti, molto buoni fralaltro, e due bottigliette di acqua che noi abbiamo scelto frizzante ( che qui in Rodi isola pare che sia una rarità), il tutto portato dentro un secchio tipo quello da champagne pieno di ghiaccio: fantastico. Il bagnasciuga è di pietre rocciose ed è minuscolo...ci sono anche due scalette laterali tipo piscina per entrare in acqua, essendo una caletta rocciosa, ci si può calare con quelle. Tuttavia pur essendo roccioso, il fondale, forse riportato, non è molto profondo e vi si cammina benone (sono alto 190 e in alcuni punti l'acqua arriva alla gola) ma molti indossano scarpette di plastica. Nel pomeriggio, cosa che accade in tutte le spiagge di tutta Rodi, la spiaggia è molto affollata. Nel pomeriggio inoltrato arriva l'ombra il che contribuisce a rendere freddina l'acqua, già di per sé piuttosto sul fresco sempre. La musica è sempre presente, però non invadente come in certe spiagge, ed è scelta bene, perlomeno nella giornata in cui siamo stati lì, in quanto una fusion fra musiche moderne, mediorientale e Greca, molto rilassante e piacevole, contribuendo a creare un'atmosfera magica che abbiamo gradito moltissimo. Considerato il livello medio direi che merita una lode.

To get to the beach itself you need to pay 4€ entrance per person. The gardens are beautiful and definitely worth a visit and the 4€ in my opinion. Once in, if you want to use the beach area, you’d probably have to pay 20€ for 2 sunbeds and a parasol, as there is little space for towels in a very rocky and slippery area. I guess if you are more adventurous you can also stay in that area. Otherwise the water and views are great. The bar is ok. Probably a bit overpriced, but we had a salad and a sandwich for lunch and was not too bad.
