The terrain is unfortunately no longer maintained. Plants have taken over the site. There is a closed fence around it, but the gate is not locked. Informative signs but unfortunately the site itself is not that visible anymore.

Ein Paradebeispiel, weshalb man nicht auf Blogger, sondern auf Schilder Wert legen sollte: warum dieser Ort auf manchen Seiten zu den Highlights von Rhodos zählen, ist mir ein absolutes Rätsel. Während hier nur ein paar Steine rumliegen, die inmitten der bewohnten Gegend gar nicht mal so leicht zu finden sind, fallen mir spontan 30 interessantere Orte auf Rhodos ein, die man eher gesehen haben sollte als diesen "Tempel".

Auch haben hier die Italiener nicht irgendetwas nachträglich noch mit Zement oder vergleichbaren Materialien nachgearbeitet. Das liegt ja einfach so, wie es liegt.

Nette Ausgrabung, abseits der Touristenzentren, ohne Eintritt :-) es stehen Schilder, die beschreiben, was man sieht, und man kann sogar ganze Fliesen beziehungsweise Mosaik noch sehen. Hervorragend! There's nothing here except for a small archeological dig, don't expect anything like columns or statues. Only for die hard archeological people. What's in my pictures is all there is to see, if you need to tick off a list of places you've been then visit it but if you're expecting anything that remotely looks like an ancient temple you will be disappointed. There's about 30 rectangle shaped stones laid like the foundations of a building...

There are so many other sites on this island that are much more worth seing. We were both disapointed when we came to this site. It is not worth the tripp or detour. You'll find many more temples to visit. One of the best...

TL;DR First - be a businessman and make a lot of money Second - buy some land Third - build a house and discover a temple Then the archeologists come and take your land and close this place down for years. Bam! Tourist...
