Agios Ioannis Beach — Attraction in Municipality of Sithonia

Beautiful beach, with nice sunbeds and umbrellas. On the central part of beach, there is a big bar with 2 category of sunbeds and umbrellas. In the central part there is 2 sunbeds and very big umbrella with big lazy bag ( for 2 grownups) and its 10€. Left and right from this central part are also 2 sunbeds and standard umbrella with additional wooden beach chair and its 5€. For weekdays it is recommended to make reservation bc its very popular beach. It is open from 10 am. The bar has showers, changing room, toilets and its all very clean. Its a bit pricey beach bar. Next to this cost money beach its open beach for those who prefer their own arrangements. In the rocks below street it is hidden very nice cafe/bar restaurant with beautiful view and its own beach with sunbeds and umbrellas and its cheaper then previous one. There is also a water sports skiing, banana, pedals... Water is clean as it is in all Sythoinia. Beach is sandy, in sea in shallow are large stones( nothing dangerous), and after its sand. Okay let’s start with only good thing:the beach and the sea. Sand is very tiny and water is warm and clear. If you go in Rivera beach bar you have to pay sets (5 or 10€) and plus the drink. Prices are terribly expensive,for coffee you pay twice more and for alcohol drinks about 3-4 times more. People that work there are incredible rude. I had to wait for 20 minutes just to order plus i had to ask a waiter “Can i order or should i wait more?”. Plus i know they weren’t doing anything cause i saw them at the back chilling. They have some food which is very expensive and you can’t bring anything yours. In my whole life i’ve never saw anyone more rude and unprofessional. I give two stars only because of sea. Water is perfect but the beach is wild. There are some trees around nothing special, just a simple beach. This year because of higher prices of umbrellas and sun-beds many people prefer to use free of charge beaches, as this one. It is a pity that people do not preserve the area. We saw many cigarettes and other trash around. There is no toilette on the beach and nothing to buy around. Need to go prepared with everything you need for a stay- water, food, umbrella.
