Paralia Artemidos — Attraction in Municipality of Spata - Artemida

In my opinion this is easily one of the worst beaches I have ever been. When I was young this beach was our best option. We take the bus and go there to swim and relax. But we did not have a choice to visit other beaches which was difficult for us while we living in the east area of "Attica". But when I discover other beaches I was sure what was wrong with this beach even thought I was already knew that this beach was bad. The beach is all sand and that is great for kids or for people who love the sand and want to relax. But you need to walk a lot and I mean a lot and then the beach become deeper and you can swim. But the most annoying was the temperature of the beach. All over the summer it was like I enter in one hot boiler and that was not what I wanted in one hot day. The beach was "too hot" because is not deep and also for the massive crowd. The beach has too many people which that made the beach more dirty and more hot. And lastly there is one beach bar which we listen a lot of rumours years ago that the drains of the bar end inside the beach.. After that I never visit this beach again. Morze jest czyste, ciepłe i płytkie (50m od brzegu). Lokalne restauracje mają wykupione leżaki i żeby z nich korzystać trzeba zamówić napoje lub jedzenie. W tygodniu roboczym nie ma opłat za leżaki, ale w weekend restauracje pobierają opłaty. Są też miejsca bez leżaków i one są bezpłatne. Z plaży korzystają głównie Grecy, którzy maja tutaj blisko z Aten. Ceny w restauracjach i barach są zrównoważone.

Trzeba wiedzieć, że na tej części wybrzeża często występują silne wiatry i mimo wysokich temperatur morze jest wzburzone i mocno wieje. Piszą o tym też inni turyści w opiniach. W trakcie mojego pobytu (8-18 sierpień) było 5 dni z silnym wiatrem i 5 dni bez wiatru.

Zaskoczeniem jest, że lokalny urząd nie dba o to miejsce - mała liczba parkingów, otwarte śmietniku przy głównej ulicy itp. W trakcie wypoczynku często spotkać można lokalnych sprzedawców/ cudzoziemców z podrabianymi gadżetami - chodzą między leżakami z głośną muzyką i to nie jest komfortowe.

Jeżeli chcesz spędzić na tej plaży kilka dni i nie chcesz zwiedzić okolicy, to miejsce jest naprawdę ok. Jeżeli chcesz zwiedzać, wynajmij samochód, bo autobus jeździ głównie do miast.

W każdej opinii staram się obiektywnie ocenić miejsce na podstawie własnych doświadczeń, z szacunkiem do lokalnych mieszkańców. The sea is clean, warm and shallow (50m from the shore). Local restaurants have bought deck chairs and to use them you have to order drinks or food. During the week there is no charge for sunbeds, but on the weekend the restaurants charge. There are also places without sunbeds and they are free. The beach is mainly used by Greeks, who are close to Athens. Prices in restaurants and bars are balanced.

You should know that in this part of the coast there are often strong winds, and despite the high temperatures the sea is rough and blows hard. This is also written by other tourists in the reviews. During my stay (8-18 August) there were 5 days with strong wind and 5 days without wind.

Surprisingly, the local authority doesn't care about the place - little parking, open dumpster on the main street etc. When relaxing you often find local vendors/foreigners with fake gadgets - they walk between the sunbeds with loud music and it is not comfortable.

If you want to spend a few days on this beach and don't want to explore the area, this place is really ok. If you want to explore, rent a car because the bus goes mostly to the cities.

This breach has very thin sand. The beach is very clean but the water depending on the air may be a little bit dirty. It has a lot of space to put your equipment in but you can also rent umbrellas and chairs for a small price (about 3 euro per spot). It is better to avoid crowded days like weekends due to parking space. If you go to work days you can always find a spot for parking. Also, the municipality parking is free. The very shallow sea is very good for small kids and babies but for adults it is a little bit stressful. You have to go for around 200m in the sea to be ok for...
