Atmosphere, food and drinks were all good but the staff was incredibly rude. When my friend came to sit with us for a few minutes and brought a drink they'd bought elsewhere with them the manager grabbed the drink out of their hands as if it was theirs and started lecturing them. We all understood why it may be rude to bring other products on the premises, though it's a beach bar and not a restaurant, but even after immediately apologising and explaining that they would leave shortly, the staff still wouldn't give them back the drink until I stood up and apologised on their behalf. My guess is that they believed me because I'm older than my friend, as they look fairly young, but that's still unacceptable in my opinion. You can explain kindly to the customers not to bring other products to your table, but you cannot under any circumstances GRAB something that is NOT yours and REFUSE to give it back, especially when we've paid for so many other products of yours and then proceed to tell us we can't even take them to the beach chairs. Read moreAlbatross was our favourite place but since it burnt, we thought to try Coava this year. Coava has a similar vibe. It is well kept and toilets are clean. I think it's now the best beach bar/diner on this part of the coast. €10 per sunbed pair with umbrella, €15 in weekend. We've tried club sandwich and pizza; Club was ok, pizza size was good and filling but crust too hard. Some freshly grilled items like grilled chicken/ souvlaki/ steak are missing from the menu. Drinks, milk shakes, coffees, granitas all good. Took a long time for the food and it wasn't weekend.
As other have mentioned...the shower situation with the 20cents for 20 seconds is not good. I'd rather they upped prices by €1 and provided a little plastic coin/token with the sunbed to use for the shower (knock it off the price if I don't use it) and not have this ridiculous 'system'. I understand they had to control the abuse but this...
Read moreWe passed here many times as we often went to Albatross till one day we thought let’s have some refreshments here. We wondered why our friends didn’t recommend here.
The place is very pretty and neat. The beach is clean and not busy, even on Saturday afternoon it’s relatively quiet comparing to the next door.
For some reason there was no internet on both of our phones. Wifi was too weak and never connected so we couldn’t do any work.
The service was dull as we served ourselves (seated ourselves and went to the kitchen to order as no one cared to wait us).
Funny enough when the bill came, the waitress asked “Do you want to leave a y tips for us?”… what for? For self-service? For non-working internet? Not to mention that the bathroom was locked with code so I couldn’t be bothered to even ask.
We left and went back to our regular spot. You need to improve…but maybe...
