Ammos Beach Bar — Attraction in Paggaio Municipality

we read a lot of reviews (even the negative ones) but decided to still come because we were recommended this spot by a greek local. also, the internet mentioned this as one of the best beaches on mainland greece. we thought the music was great. it wasn’t too loud at all, actually pleasant. i would recommend getting a spot farther away from it if you feel like it’s too loud. parking was free (but we parked kinda on the side of the road technically) and the service was kind and quick. the food was great. we got the special pizza and the classic burger. the pizzas cheese pull was insane, someone saw our pizza and asked what it was so they could order it too lol. water is perfect temp, sand is hot. we came and sat at one of the umbrellas and no one told us we had to pay (but to be fair we weren’t really sitting there, we left our stuff and swam in the water). we came to the restaurant and ordered there and got food relatively quickly. we didn’t have any of the issues mentioned in the negative comments, maybe it was just a bad day idk. we had a great time. def a great beach for children.

also, the freddo cappuccino was literally the best we’ve had in greece,...

We used to love coming to Ammos, we even recommended it to so many people but this time... We are here for the second time this summer and for the first time we have problems with the seatings. It was okay at first when we explained how many people we are ( 8 people with 4 children) and the host told us how many seats we have to take and what we have to pay. But then the host changed his mind and asked for 100 euro more because we had children with us and in his words the front line will be crowded with children and if another big family wants to sit near us, they will have small space... It's ridiculous - if there's not enough space he will put there smaller company not a big family. The overall feeling was that they don't want small children in the front so they came up with silly excuses. We loved it here - the beach is clean, the sand is golden and the water is amazing. And until recently the service was great too. But the disappointment will...

In my humble opinion, overall this is the most lovable place around. I've been coming to Ammolofi for the past 3 years, and never for a moment felt the need to go to another bar on this beautiful beach. The parking is large and free, the prices are affordable, and the food is more than adequate for the price. Also, heard some of the classiest choices of beach music in this place, ranging from lounge to oldskool progressive and tech house. Young people working in this place change every year, but they are always polite and quick to serve you, with a smile on their face. And just today I lost my wallet, and was more than lucky a girl who works there found it. She returned it immediately, wouldn't even take anything as a reward - that's how kind and well mannered these kids are. Come here early, grab sunbeds in the front row (take additional ones for your kids, there's tons of unused ones), plant some extra parasols, and...
