This beach is quietly tucked away near Karavados in the region of Livatho Kefalonia

It is a small sandy beach which you must get to early in the morning otherwise parking and finding a spot to lay will be an issue

The water is pristine and crystal clear and the location divine. Quite fresh during the earlier months of simmer but quite beautiful in August.

There are large stone boulders you can also lay your towel on and dive into the water from

It is a BYO beach for all things swimming but is catered for by a lovely cafeteria with good food and reasonable coffee. Service is fine

There are no sun lounges and no shade so come well prepared

You can get here by car or by yatch. No bus services this beach

It is one of those beaches that if you don’t ask you’ll never know about. So just ask the locals and they will point you in the right direction. There is signage too

Getting down you need to park your car and walk done 200 metres to the ramp that takes you down to the beach.

A must. But then everything is on the...

Visit this beach on early September 2023. If you arrive before 10AM on weekends you can find space for two towels and an umbrella but the place get filled up quickly as the beach is quite small. We enjoyed it as it was very clean ( both the sand and water) and there are shower and changing booth facilities. Very good for snorkelling, if you plan on visiting snorkel mask is a must. The terrace above the beach is throwing bread to the fish, and they’re used to stick around and be fed by people. The smaller fish would even have bait from your hand. The two taverns are a total ripoff located by the beach are a total ripoff, they charge €4 for a take away...

A beautiful place, one of my favourites. On this beach, there’s a small spot run by a man named Denis (no website yet as I see), who offers shade with umbrellas and sun loungers. The area is covered with natural grass, which keeps the heat at bay and makes it especially pleasant.

Denis also provides paddleboards and snorkeling gear, and this is just the beginning — he’s still building and developing the place. Everything is offered at very reasonable prices, so I highly recommend stopping by.

He’s also a genuinely...

Beautiful spot on the island. Based on the comments we took the path on the rocks to be in the hidden part of the beach. The route wasn’t 5 minutes but rather 15, on the sun. You definitely can’t do the climb in flip flops! After the adventure the beach was truly magical. On the other side of the beach there are spots where you can jump into the sea plus there’s a changing room and a shower. The bar has an amazing view!
