Been our annual restaurant to visit for many years staying in Trapezaki. Generally visit at least twice in one week, but not this year.
Wife and I were not impressed by the massive price hike (and compared to other restaurants near by).
I tried the meat moussaka, I believe this is made on the premises. It was served almost cold so went back. When it came back it was hot but tasteless, little meat in the ingredients and bland, needed seasoning.
Sadly Mum wasn’t around to speak with and other staff seemed none verbal, not even asking why I didn’t eat 90% of my meal…surely this is what customer service and getting feedback is about?.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not writing the review to be mean, I want the management to listen to the feedback and react and stop this happening to other customers.
We will come back next year and try again, hopefully with more positive news.
In other news we went out on the Queen Bee boat for the day yesterday. Went last year and George & Peter’s mums moussaka is still the best I’ve...
Read moreEnastron is one of those places that serves incredible food—truly a highlight of our trip. The standout dish was the Kleftiko-Enastron, which was rich, tender, and full of flavor. You can tell a lot of care goes into the cooking here, and the portions were generous too. Definitely worth coming just for that.
However, a couple of things took away from the overall experience. First, we were charged €6 for bread we didn’t order. It was brought to the table automatically, which wouldn’t have been a big deal if it were complimentary or at least optional—but it wasn’t, and we only found out when the bill came. That felt a bit sneaky.
Second, the wasps were relentless. We understand it’s summer and an outdoor setting, but there didn’t seem to be much effort to keep them at bay. It made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal.
In short: go for the food—especially the Kleftiko—but be aware of the small hidden charges and prepare to share your table with some uninvited...
Read moreThe food was good and the view also. The waiter who took the order was kind and made a competent impression. We ordered the grilled octopus and told the waiter to serve it naturally, what he later did. He was attentively and not intrusive. Well serviced. The only thing we didn't enjoyed were the walking around cats. On every table with food they tried to get something to eat. Because of my wife has an allergy this situation with the cats was not comfortable for us. We even saw a waitress stroking a cat. Don't know if she washed her hands immediately before serving food again, but for us this was a "no go". Normal and not too expensive prices. In general recommended.
Because of the good experience 4 Points (cats not taken...
