Vathi Lagadi beach — Attraction in Peloponnese, Western Greece and the Ionian

Beautifull remote beach, hard to reach but excelent for swimming and snorkeling, with crystal clear waters...you need to follow a narrow path and after that climb down the rocks to the beach.i spent a few hours on the beach in the afternoon withought having to share the beach with anyone. The minus: just a bit of shade in the afternoon and u have to be aware of the wasps that roam the shore and have the hive in the rocks above(don't bring any food especially meat). Still a place you shouldn't miss...

The nearby airbnb owners have tried their best to block access to this lovely bay so that they can selfishly use it as a private beach. The path along the water has been blocked with thorn bushes and stop signs were put up to prevent visitors from using the small section of "private road". Go around to the left of the blockade and down a steep track and you will be rewarded with a beautiful shady bay with plenty of wild garlic and...

Wir sind hier an einem Mittwoch in der Hauptsaison hergekommen in der Hoffnung eine etwas ruhigere Bucht aufzufinden. Wir parkten bei der Straße Richtung Kremidi Beach und sind dann oben bei der Ersten Kurve wo einige Autos parkten stehengeblieben und sind Richtung Vathi Beach durch etwas Gebüsch und über einen Trampelpfand in wenigen Minuten bis zur Bucht gegangen.(Hier is ein privates Haus, aber hier kann man links vorbeigehen) Durch den nicht sofort ersichtlichen Weg ist die Bucht nicht überrannt und man hat hier mehr Ruhe als an anderen Massenstränden. Sehr klares sauberes Wasser mit einigen Felsen, wo man auch herunterspringen kann. Bis Mittag kann man auch einen Schattenplatz ergattern, danach hat man in der Ganzen Bucht die pralle Sonne. Bei uns ging jedoch ein leichter Wind und mit den selbst mitgebrachten Schirmen war es auszuhalten. Im Laufe des Tages legt das ein oder andere Boot an. Der Strand ist ein Kieselstrand mit etwas gröberen Steinen.
