Arrived there by accident and wanted to enjoy the view with a refreshing drink. As we were there with scooters we did not want to consume alcohol. The waitress was the nightmare of customer service. The venue was empty, of about 30 tables, one was occupied by guests. When telling her that we don’t want to drink alcohol she said that’s not possible and asking us impolitely „why do you come to a winery when you don’t want to drink?“ Soft drinks were available but they „usually only have them for kids“. Even though there was a big coffee machine she said they don’t have coffee. She just wanted to sell a wine tasting or a bottle of wine. When telling her that we arrived with scooters she said that is not a problem in Greece. She left our table uninterested and saying we can think about getting wine and us with the feeling of not being appreciated as customers. I understand that their main business is wine but when the site is totally empty during opening hours why don’t you offer guests who made the challenging way up something that you do have there, even though it’s not your focus product? It does not make any sense. We left immediately and in disbelief.
I wonder how the „normal“ guests get there if not by vehicles (it’s at the near top of the mountain and at the end of a endless steep and unpaved road). Or that they all drive home drunk with their cars and scooter, as there is seemingly nothing else to consume at this bar. Shocking und...
Read moreYesterday evening we enjoyed an amazing wine tour and tasting at the Parissis Winery. Set high up in the hills of skiathos where the views are stunning you will experience fabulous wines that are only sold on the island. The evening started with a lovely welcome from Maria and her family before being shown to your table. You will then head off to begin the tour. This starts outside in the small vineyard before you head downstairs where Maria explains how their wines are produced. Once the tour is finished you then make your way back to your table to begin the tasting. We booked the Premium Tasting which meant we got to enjoy 6 glasses of their fabulous wines plus a surprise wine at the end. The wines are enjoyed with a delicious selection of snacks and at just €40 we found to be excellent value for money. Maria and her family really do their very best in looking after you and will answer any questions you may have. I would highly recommend a visit to this winery which is the only one in Skiathos and if you see any of their wines on a wine list in any restaurant I would certainly advise you try them. Thank You Maria and your family for a wonderful evening and hope to visit...
Read morePlease note the review is only about a phone call experience. No evaluation about the wine quality nor winery tour experience. I called to say I was interested in visiting the winery with my family (two adults and two kids) as we like wine and we have been visiting wineries wherever we traveled. I was told I could come whenever I wanted during the opening hours. I needed to ask explicitly about the hours the tours were being organised. As one of the adults will not be drinking, I asked if there was an option of having the tour without the drinks. The answer was that the tour is free. Great ! But to have the free tour one need to pay the wine taste. Ok, I understand. So the tour is 20 eur (that was the wine sampling cost). “No, it’s free, but you pay for the sampling. I don’t know how you do it in Romania but this is how we do it here and it’s your PROBLEM if you don’t drink the wine”. Never said I was from the Romania, never said I had a problem. I assume that was based on my phone number. All in all, a very rude attitude. Don’t remember the last time I was...
