Very nice beach in a sheltered cove. A mix of sand and very small stones. Quite a lot of rocks on the sea floor, so not bad for snorkelling, plenty of fish to see. Very limited free parking (about 10 spaces), most parking spaces linked to the two tavernas. We parked behind first taverna, were told it was for customers only (i.e. you had to eat something there). It turned out well, because the taverna has lots of sunbeds amongst the shade of olive trees just a few metres from the beach. We expected to pay for these, but no charge! Food and drink at tavern was surprisingly good for a beach place, so for two people, a light lunch with drinks under 30 euros meant we had parking and sunbeds all day. If you come, it makes sense to make a day of it, then the lunch covers the parking...
Read moreThe beach bar, Apenomos is wonderful and service could not be better. The issue lies with the owner of the Limnonari Taverna and Rooms, Vangelis Lemonis. I chose to share my experience on the beach’s Google site because after writing my initial review, Vangelis removed the taverna from Google maps. So here goes…In my many years of travel, never have I witnessed this type of aggressive behavior. The owner of this taverna is attempting to sabotage the neighboring beach bar by blocking the dirt road that leads to the bar’s parking lot. Cars turned away bc of lack of parking. What a shame to have one malaka messing with vacations that so many folks worked hard to earn. Greek islands are known for their hospitality. Unfortunately this man is not an example. He should be...
Read moreLimnonari is one of the busiest beaches in Skopelos which is located close to Agnontas natural port. Surrounding environment is beautiful and the beach is well protected from north winds. Water is crystal clear! Last years the beach has been heavily populated by sun beds and umbrellas which are managed by the two restaurants/bars which operate in this area. The high number of sun beds and umbrellas, in a rather narrow beach, do not fit with the natural environment though. I would advise to be very careful when driving to limnonari due to the narrow road and lack of adequate space when two...
