Great place to spend your day, with an amazing view, a beautiful beach and also the option to chill in the pool if you like. 🍹Beach bar: We stayed in Limnonari for a week, we were every day at the beach bar, and were very happy with everything, service was good and fast, prices were reasonable and the food was fine -the burger especially was massive (the club sandwich could be improved however, felt like a very basic toast). For the sunbeds at the beach you need to pay 10 euros for the set. If you want to pre-book, you need to pay in advance 20 euros. 🌊Pool (18+ ! No kids allowed in!): I read numerous unreasonable reviews from parents trashing the place for not allowing kids in the pool (even though this is clearly stated as a rule in a very visible sign at the beach bar), or kids/parents being annoyed after the kids are asked to leave the pool. There is a small baby pool for toddlers and young kids can use instead the big one, it is not big, but it's something. So if your kids are desperate to go in the pool instead of the beach, I would not recommend you to come. For all other adults, it is great to relax in the cold pool since there are not that many people in (12 people allowed only). 🍽️Restaurant: the food was really nice, we tried the fried calamari and the octopus with fava, they were both very tasty. The fried zucchini sticks were also amazing! The only minus was the salad, because the veggies did not have any taste, the olive oil was not the best of its kind, so that was a bit disappointing. The service was good and fast (we came one night that it was empty). Prices were very reasonable and even cheaper...
Read moreI tried Apanemos today which js behind Limnonari beach tucked away under some beautifully maintained Mulberry trees for shade. I was greeted as always with lots of Greek hospitality and the waiters were very friendly and chatty. The views are just to die for over the beach with a lovely cool breeze and as I mentioned before a lot of the tables are under mulberry trees which look stunning. I ordered grilled Squid, Greek salad (which I asked for a half portion but they weren’t able to accommodate me), Taramasalata (wasn’t what I was expecting traditionally for the island which I love fresh from most of my favourite restaurants as usually it’s whitish/very light pink. This wasn’t to my taste to be honest with Squid and I would of chosen some else if I’d known), A large bottle of water and a large beer. This totalled €30.5 which was a little on the expensive side to be honest. However the squid was cooked well and the Greek salad was nice too. I’d recommend eating here if I was...
Read moreFantastic beach bar with lovely pool and big, comfortable sunbeds in a wonderful setting with stunning blue sea.
We visited in high season (late July 2024). Set of 2 beds + umbrella €15 hire fee on the beach or €40 minimum spend by the pool. Menu prices very reasonable considering the standard of the surroundings.
Service was friendly and attentive, music not too loud, everything you need to have a relaxing day.
1 lost star for me because if you have lunch at the restaurant this doesn't count to your minimum spend also in my opinion the food was poor. We ordered the shrimp linguine with tomato sauce, tasty but very small portion and no tomato sauce (just some cherry tomatoes) then also the chicken fillet with rice, rice was undercooked and dish was quite dry and could have done with a sauce. Perhaps we ordered poorly as others seem to really like the food.
Overall a great beach bar and our favourite that we visited...
