Limnonari Complex — Hotel in Skopelos Municipality

As other reviews point out, the owner here is a very unpleasant man indeed, and very quickly becomes hostile to guests he doesn’t happen to like. This made our stay here less than pleasant. In fact, after decades of holidaying in Greece, this was the first time having such a profoundly negative experience, which made our holiday significantly less relaxing.

Speaking to other guests in the Limnonari Complex, as they were about to leave, revealed they were overcharged at the last minute, and understandably said they would not come back. From our (rather dirty and badly kept) balcony, we could notice day-tripper restaurant/meadow guests being harrassed and getting abuse from this guy.

While my wife and I were sitting at the table in their taverna, the owner - who insists on reminding people he is "the boss" - unexpectedly confessed that from now on he accepts overnight guests only once he sees and approves their photos online, an attitude we've never quite heard elsewhere.

In sum, we would strongly advise anyone who considers staying here overnight, or even just coming to the restaurant for a day trip, to consider other alternatives: people on this island are otherwise so nice, and you are really spoilt for choice. Our apartment was dated and poorly equipped; we several times had to ask for basic kitchen utensils that were missing. These conversations were not pleasant, and throughout our stay the owner on several occasion become hostile and insulting not just to other guests who were there only for the day, but also to us (including the women in our group), for random reasons. We found the rest of his staff quite nice, with the exception of his family members who were waiting tables, who were equally grumpy...

Exceptional place located on the probably the best beach on the island. The rooms are very clean and well equipped with everything you may need. The host is very kind person asking us all the time if we need something more. The food and the home made tsipouro of the taverna are exceptional. Probably the best we have ever tried in Greece. Please ask for meal of the day as they cook 1 or 2 main dishes plus some soups every day which are not in the standard menu. I highly...
