Loutra Edipsou Beach — Attraction in Thessaly and Central Greece

It depends on what you expect. From the entrance to the village, a very long but narrow beach begins, somewhere it breaks. It's mixed with sand and rocks, but it's generally for shoes. The sea is clean, but with small stones. There are alternating places where children jump, then there is an area with mostly pensioners. Somewhere there are umbrellas and deckchairs, but they are few. The street passes above, it is noisy with cars and restaurants. Walkers are also watching you. The view is very beautiful! It ends with the thermal springs - only stones, healing, hot water and a crowd of many people. Fans of long, sandy, wide and quiet beaches will not like it. Otherwise, the place is...

It's a nice place to visit and the thermal baths are probably relaxing. The key word here is "probably" because I couldn't try them out myself... The reason is obvious, it was full of old tourists, literally no space left for anyone else as you can see in the pics... So yeah... Maybe a winter visit...

Apele vindecatoare din Edipsos au o istorie mai mare de 20 000 de ani. La ele fac referire atât Aristotel cât și Strabon. Astăzi acestea reprezintă probabil cea mai căutată locație de ape vindecătoare din Grecia.

Cercetători, specialiști și doctori hidrologi recomandă aceste izvoare din Edipsos pentru următoarele afecțiuni : artropatiidegenerative (cronice sau temporare),spondilită anchilozantă, reumatism, radiculopatie lombară și cervicală (sciatică), dureri de spate, deformări post- traumatice, nevrite periferice (nevralgii -mialgii), migrene, tendinite, vasopatii, boli ale ciclului endocrinologic ( efectul de întinerire al radonului).

În afară de apele termale vă puteți bucura de baia de nămol și izvoarele cu apă potabilă...
