I went at Kentrikon Hotel based on reviews I have read on this site. And maybe I was expecting too much. My main demands were clean hotel, average room, average breakfast, Wi-Fi as a must (since I was working during holiday), and good night sleep. ||Hotel is clean, that is right. Breakfast is OK, not astonishing, but OK. Rooms are big enough for two, but pretty small for three beds (and I was with my 12 year old son and my partner). I probably have luck to get last room on the first floor, at the end of the building, so it was a little bit bigger than rest of rooms I could see. Room was looking at the pool, and being a very bad sleeper anyway, I had a troubles getting and staying asleep (very loud pool filling noise every night, early pool preparation and usage start, so I go asleep late and wake up early - not much of a rest). There is AC in every room. But, if you do not want to have AC turned on whole night (and who wants to listen AC noise just above the head), you need to open window. And if you open window, you hear noise. Then Wi-Fi that is “present” in the hotel is very, very slow and hard to catch. In my room, I could not get signal at all. In hotel lobby, so-so, but it was enough just for Android surfing, Skype and Viber texts and nothing more. Outlook could not work, even Gmail had problems. Uploads and downloads were impossible. So, I end up with my laptop on my shoulder, going at the hotel about 1 km away where we had dinner to get correct Wi-Fi and fill my working tasks. My kid and my partner did not have such problems, they did not need to work and they are always fallen asleep the minute they touch the pillow.||My conclusion is: Clean hotel, solid breakfast, nice pool with warm mineral water, for recommendation for vacation without any obligations. If you a good sleeper, Kentrikon will do, but if you want a place to really rest and have a good night sleep, choose another hotel. And you need to work during holiday and Wi-Fi is a must to you, choose another hotel. If you do not need internet,...
Read moreThe room we got was on a second floor, street oriented and small. It was extremelly noisy because big trucks, tanks and buses pass through that street starting at 5/6 a.m. At night you'll hear motorcycles with very noisy exhaust all night. If you close the door and turn on AC - it is still noisy because AC unit is old and sounds like it is going to fly off. I must say that I am not a light sleeper at all, and I couldn't rest for 10 nights!? Refrigerator was also old and froze everything - milk, Coca-Cola...everything was frozen eventhough it was set on 1st cooling degree?!||Wi-fi was terrible....sometimes completely unavailable.||Swimming pool is nice, but not included in the room price - it costs additional 5e/person per day which was disappointing. It is free for hotel gests only from 18-20h with 2 x 45 min of jacuzzi bubbles, which was usually shortened by blond lady always in the bad mood, knowing no word of English, and always making up new rules about swimming pool usage (for example on 8th day of our stay shower caps were obligatory for women if they want to use the pool eventhough they were not obligatory all 7 days before; one day jacuzzi was turned on for only 30 min etc.). So, your swimming pool usage highly depends on a bad mood of the blond Greek lady.||The cleaning lady was very nice, starts to work early, and change towels more often if you ask. The breakfast was also good, buffet with good variety of food, but almost the same all 10 days.||After all, it's not good choice for vaccation if you want to rest (especially in August), and it worth less...
Read moreI stayed in this hotel i n July. It was very good. the hotel is very clean and the staff is very pleasant and helpful. The owner is a great man ever ready to assist in everything. he even allowed us to use the pool during the break time. on the day of our departure they allowed us to stay in the room until our transport came and even ordered a drink for us. Great people and great Greek hospitality. The only shortcoming is the breakfast area, which is very small and narrow but that was clearly stated in the description. although there usually stay elderly people my daughter, my friends and I had a really great time time. Greetings...
