If you are visiting Guatemala and would like to visit one of the beaches the country has, Monterrico Beach is the geat place for it. Located 2 hours away from Antigua and 3 hours from the City. You can easily get there by booking an special bus or just a Chicken bus. The beach is located in a really good place, there are plenty of hotels and restaurants for your budget....

It’s so hot. The water was warm and the black sand just looked so beautiful. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because you can’t really get in. The tide and waves were really strong so It’s dangerous. I would love to come back during a season where it’s safe to get in. Still felt nice to sit at the shore and...

Iceland’s black volcanic beach meets the North Atlantic Ocean 🇮🇸 🌊 This is the black sand beach of Reynisfjara - a 2.5hr drive from Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. 📌 Save this for your Iceland folder so you remember to visit and don’t forget to make the effort to venture out away from the crowds. Even if you walk 10 minutes along the beach, you’ll end up finding long stretches of epic scenery all to yourself. For some reason most people don’t bother going for a stroll and just stick around by the crowded carpark to take pictures of the basalt columns which feels like a missed opportunity✨ It’s important to note that you cannot swim here since the currents are so strong and there is risk of sneaker waves ⚠️ Other Black Sand Beaches around the world for you to add to your bucketlist folder 📁 1. Ficogrande Stromboli, Aeolian Islands, Italy 2. Miho Beach: Shimizu, Japan 3. Papenoo Beach: Papenoo, Tahiti, French Polynesia 4. Black Sand Basin: Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming 5.
