George Washington's Ferry Farm

Wow.. just... wow. I came here 5 days ago and I find myself stuck in the same spot on my couch just reminiscing. I’m at a loss for words, still. First off, George, thank you. Without this founding father I couldn’t be sitting here enjoying this Little Debbie cake. So good. So fresh.... Enough about me, let’s talk about this gem of a “boyhood home”. Wife divorced me a couple months ago, this one’s for you Lisa. I was traveling from Florida to Maryland to pick up my boy. Bingo was his name-o. Kidding, his names Tyler. I was in low spirits making the trip up to the northern part of our beautiful land of the free. She took the dog, too. It’s hard without Max. Almost... too hard 🤔. Anyway, the wife was running behind schedule. Or should I say “ex-wife destroyer of dreams of peace, harmony, and fidelity”. She cheated on me with Drakeo, the pool guy. I decided to kill some time. Flipped a coin as to where I should go. Heads for the movie theatre, and tails for nap in the Red Lobster parking lot. I did the deed and flipped the copper goddess of a penny. To my negligence, it flew out the window. Not only that, it started rolling. Rolling faster than my ex wife’s Cricut machine was down the stairs after I found out about her and Drakeo. I followed the penny, it was rolling and it was rolling fast. It was giving me “Chef Boyardee can vibes”. I revved my engine... go time. I chased the penny for 13 miles through every loop and turn Fredricksburg, Virginia had to offer my Honda Civic. I followed it up until I was brought face to face with a black metal gate. I looked up and read the fine print. To my amazement it read “Boyhood home of George Washington”. What the hell!? What has this penny gotten me into!? I crept up the long dirt path towards the red beauty in front of me. OUCH! A mosquito got me . I strutted into that house with as much confidence as Drakeo when he opened my fridge to pour himself a cold glass of lemonade. A lovely woman greeted me and made me aware of the entry fee. Twelve dollars. Twelve dollars to tour the very house my favorite wooden tooth founding father grew up in. I’m in. I slapped down 11 one dollar bills. I thought it was fitting for the occasion. As I slapped the twelfth down, I noticed the face on the front winked at me. It was him... I winked back. Shortly after, I was taken on a marvelous tour. I cried the whole time, so I can’t remember every detail. But just know, it was enough to get me over a failed marriage after 14 years. I will definitely be returning. Great job guys, and George this ones for you..... 😉.
