This cathedral is currently under construction so we did not get to see any of the interior. The cathedral dominates the city center and is adjacent to a lovely square where locals can congregate under the many trees.

La Catedral de Notre-Dame de la Asunción, también conocida como la Catedral de Cap-Haïtien, es una de las iglesias más importantes y emblemáticas de Haití. Está ubicada en el centro histórico de la ciudad de Cap-Haïtien, al norte del país, frente a la Plaza de Armas (Place d'Armes), y es un símbolo de la historia religiosa y colonial haitiana.

Breve historia:
