Really nice lakeside area. The lake is nice and shallow, so it was pretty safe and was shallow out until pretty far, getting deeper very gradually. Had a small sandy area - no real beach - just some small rocks around the lake edge with some steps down to the water.
The lake bottom is sand-mud, nice and soft and the water isn't too bad. Not clear but doesn't seem to be very dirty. It was fun to collect some mussells/shells, and I wasn't afraid to dip my head in the water.

Read moreIt's a very cultured beach, and it's a miracle it's still free! Best to approach it by bike or on foot because the parking is limited and expensive.
There are lots of places to eat, mostly street food and desserts. It's ideal for kids, because there are several playgrounds for all ages, including a football pitch and a skating ground.
The toilets are paid (HUF200 as of August 2023) and accept coins and contactless payment.
