Was told about the museum at the Tourist Information and it really is worth a visit. During a visit you will also get to see inside the synagogue. Although it is in a state of decay it paints a picture of a community now almost lost. The synagoge could house 800 people out of the more then 15 000 in the pre-war jewish community. Now only 300-400 live in Miskolc. The architect was Ludwig Förster, the man who designed the Dohany Synagogue in Budapest. The museum is brand new and a great way to learn about jewish Miskolc. Hopefully down the line money will be given towards the restauration of the third largest synagogue in Hungary.

if you are in miskolc dont forget to visit the Synagogue. it will be a great opportunity to learn a beautifull colture. a pease of miskolc. A Zsinagóga mellett egy állandó kiállítás látogatható, mely betekintést enged az 1800- as évektől mondhatni napjainkig elő Izraelita hitközség mindennapjaiba. Koszonom az exclusiv tárlat látogatói lehetőséget. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+⭐

What a true jewel this synagogue is!!!!! It is a smaller exhibition of a thousands of years of the Jewish heritage. It's a must see! The temple is in a very sad shape, although it had to be a beautiful place for Jewish people to practice their faith. It would be worth to renovate the damaged temple but lack of finances prevents it from restoring its beauty! I hope some level of financial support will be offered to this priceless gem by other organizations to honour the thousands of years of history of the Jewish people. Let's save what can be...
