Illés Pince — Attraction in Tokaji járás

If you’re visiting the Tokaj region in Hungary, do not miss the chance to meet Marianne and experience her winery in Erdőbénye. We’ve visited many places, but this was hands down the most amazing and memorable wine experience we’ve ever had.

From the moment we arrived, Marianne welcomed us with a warmth and kindness that’s truly rare. She didn’t speak English, but we communicated perfectly through our phones with translation apps — and despite the language barrier, she went above and beyond to explain everything about the wines with such passion and care. Thanks to her, we left feeling like wine experts!

We tasted many award-winning wines, and honestly, the quality was outstanding — some of the best we’ve tried in the entire Tokaj region. And the best part? It was incredibly affordable.

Marianne also took us on a spontaneous tour of the underground wine cellars — no extra charge, just pure generosity and hospitality. Walking through those tunnels and learning about the history and wine-making process was unforgettable.

We were so impressed that we went back the next day. Marianne had arranged a special Hungarian dinner for us, pairing each dish with carefully selected wines. It was another perfect evening — delicious, authentic food, beautifully matched wines, and of course, another warm welcome and cellar tour.

It’s hard to put into words how special this experience was. The place is magical, but what made it truly extraordinary was Marianne. Her kindness, passion, and hospitality made us feel like family. We will absolutely return and recommend this place to anyone...

Nemrég volt szerencsénk részt venni egy borkóstolón az Illés Pincében a csapatunk egybehangzó véleménye szerint is fantasztikus élmény volt! Az Illés Pince borkóstolókon díjnyertes boraik megismerését kínálják. A kóstoló öt-kilenc borból álló válogatást és egy sajttálat sonka tálat tartalmazott, de egyedi igény szerint is lehetett választani. A látogatásunk során ismerkedhetünk a borkészítés folyamatával és az Illés Pince történetével. A borszakértönk (Ricsi), hozzáértő, barátságos és előzékeny volt. A kóstolt borok mind kiválóak voltak, és nagy volt a választék. Bátran ajánlom az Illés Pincét, mint remek helyet...

Egy csodálatos hétvégét töltöttünk el Erdőbényén és környékén. Minden este a kirándulásaink végén beültünk az Ön pincészetébe! Nagyon hangulatos és finom kellemes borok vártak bennünket. Mariann nagyszerű házigazda volt és ahogy a borokról és a környéről és a pincéről mesét az óriási élmény volt a számunkra! Egy élmény volt Őt hallgatni.
