Like many people, when the pandemic hit we had to cancel our travel plans. This was the only booking that was a giant hassle to deal with. We had booked and paid for an entire trip to Iceland, and contacted all of the hotels, transfers, and tours to cancel and get refunds or vouchers. Every other venue was willing to work with us under the circumstances – even if the reservation had been non-refundable - except this one.||||At first we were told that we could cancel and reschedule until the end of 2021. Then when we tried to do so, they said that if we cancelled we would simply lose all our money whether we rescheduled or not. After some arguing, we were again told that we could reschedule, but they wanted us to pay them more money. We refused, and there was more arguing. Finally, we booked a date without paying more, and when we received a booking confirmation it said the new booking could be cancelled for a full refund. After all of that. It was ridiculous that, for a one-night stay, we had to spend two or three hours arguing with different representatives, when every other booking – most of them much more expensive – dealt with us courteously and efficiently.||||When it’s safe to travel again, we intend to re-book the trip exactly as before – the only exception being that we won’t re-book here, as they were so unreasonable and stressful to deal with.
