I spent 33 days here…. Overall Im satisfied but some crucial details would not make me come back unfortunately…. Some awesome elements but several things to improve unfortunately….
Staff is very kind, courteous, helpful and reliable…. However the lack of English speaking people make communication difficult sometimes
It’s an older small resort…. Rooms are nice but need love and attention…. Expect electricity shut down 5 to 20 times daily…. WiFi is very bad and not reliable…. Some rooms or some areas don’t even have WiFi…
In my room the water was leaking and even if plumber came it was not fix and many issues unresolved…. Lots of critters, lizards and ants and clean up is not always well done…
Be careful to hide or lock yourself your belongings or rupees some stuff were missing during my stay as reported by other guests to me
The pool is nice but not always clean… too many bugs and insects at this time of the year… water is very warm at this time so I guess it’s normal
Treatments are well done but lack of English communication between doctor and therapist make it challenging most of the time…. Therapist are often late and treatment room could be cleaner and more professional…
They have an awesome yoga teacher very attentive and helpful… specialized in all kind of yoga and meditation and breathing exercises… options of morning and evening classes available and classes are about 750 rupees
Meals are vegetarian for Panchakarma treatment package and chef is excellent…. I was able to get awesome cooking class during my stay….
However, variety of meal choice is not great and you may get bored quickly…
It’s a small place for maximum 45 people and this place needs much love and improvement…. Price is good but I would suggest 1 to 2 weeks stay…
Good Ayurveda resort for short stay… Better options nearby for longer stay… Check Dr Franklin next door for little more per night get much modern, cleaner, professional and strict on time treatment, medical support and much variety Ayurvedic food according to...
Read moreI spent one day here with my wife. It is a good choice for people who would like to choose stay to exploring side seeing not the resort exploring.
The resort is located in a village with very peaceful and calm atmosphere. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and hygienic. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The employees of the resorts are very cooperative and friendly.
A swimming pool is there, it is enough to enjoy the pool experience.
I choose a non-ac rooms. But it’s cool for me. They provided mineral water and free breakfast for my package.
I was choosing this resort because I went to TVM for side seeing. So I didn’t want to spent more money for one night sleeping. I was searching a stay with safe and peaceful. I got this from here.
The breakfast was very tasty, I felt it as we prepared it in our home. We had Dosa, Upma, Sambar, chutney, pappadam and pazham. We can have it as we want. Tea and coffee also there with breakfast.
The restaurant also is very nice.
There is dedicated parking, however there is not a large area for parking. Parking is safe, but it is little bit tricky to take car after parking(so I put 4 stars). Security is there for giving direction. But the limited space is only the problem I felt. That is not a big issue, since few of the other resort nearby don’t have a dedicated parking with more price than here.
Really like this place.
This choice is more good than to choose a hotel for just stay because of safety...
Read moreThis was my third stay here and my second time doing Ayurvedic treatments. The Ayurvedic packages are well-rounded, including clean rooms with comfy beds, three treatments daily, doctor visits, medicines, yoga, and all meals and drinks. While the yoga classes could be improved, the treatments themselves are effective. The food is excellent, the dining area is pleasant, and the staff is exceptionally helpful. Housekeeping is thorough and flexible with scheduling.
WiFi can be unreliable, and there are occasional short power outages despite the hotel having a generator. I recommend getting mobile data and keeping a few candles handy. Additionally, I suggest requesting treatments in the rooms by the pool, as the other treatment spaces are outdated and can become uncomfortably hot. Despite these minor inconveniences, the hotel offers great value, with thoughtful extras like complimentary additional Ayurvedic treatments and cooking classes.
The biggest downside is the nearby beach, which is now too rough and unsafe for swimming. The access path is very dirty, and at times, a water bank needs to be crossed. When I first started coming here over a decade ago, this beach was amazing, but pollution and port construction have significantly changed it. Kovalam is just 5 km away, but its beaches are small, polluted, and crowded with vendors, making for a...
