I love this place because of its mind blowing beach view. Tucked in Havelock Island, Radhanagar Beach is regarded as the best beach in India. It is a pristine stretch of sand backed by turquoise water and lush forest. Radhanagar Beach is commonly called Beach No. 7 and it looks straight out of the postcard. Times Magazine has awarded it the title of the ‘7th best beach in the world’. Radhanagar Beach is one of the many highlights, not only in Havelock but also in the Andaman Islands.
Dotted with palm trees, the beach offers tourists a tranquil ambiance to relax and unwind amidst nature. Take a walk barefoot and relish the sight of the aqua waves brushing against the feet. The scenery is so surreal that it will allow you to reconnect with the poet within yourself. No wonder, you can choose Radhanagar Beach for a complete makeover of mind. Another attraction of Radhanagar Beach is Neil’s Cove. A 10 minutes walk along the beach will take you to this spot. Neil’s Cove is a pristine lagoon and also one of the lesser-known spots. This attraction also offers immense photography opportunities. However, swimming in the water is strictly prohibited after sunset. Hence, with a dazzling array of offerings, Radhanagar Beach is an undeniable bucket list destination.
Swimming: Radhanagar Beach is ideal for sunbathing or swimming. Carry beach towels when you are here. Changing rooms and toilets are available for the convenience of the tourists. Sunsets: Radhanagar Beach is particularly known for its gorgeous sunsets. The captivating assortment of turquoise blue waters and lavish greenery accompanied by mesmerizing sunset views elevates the beauty of this place. Spread a mat and treat your eyes to one of the best sunsets imaginable. Luxury hotels dot the shoreline: Though expensive, some of the best hotels in Andaman are located at Radhanagar Beach. If you are not staying at the luxury hotels, you can still go there for having a lavish lunch.
How to reach?? Radhanagar Beach is located around 12 kilometers from the Havelock Jetty. the best way to travel is taking a chauffeured cab for families/large groups (self-drive cars not available), and two-wheelers for smaller groups (not during monsoons). It is one straight road and navigation is easy.
It is about a 9 kilometers ride from the market and thus cycling there is not for the faint-hearted. Also, there are not many cafes/stops in the middle. Public buses and shared jeeps are available but only at fixed timings. Ask the information desk at the jetty on arrival at Havelock. Alternatively, ask your hotel travel desk. Radhanagar Beach is regarded as the most popular beach in Havelock Island. The beach is ideal for relaxation and swimming. When it comes to a beach, no time is too much. But if you are on a short trip, 1.5 to 2 hours would be ideal. Try to reach by 3:00 PM and leave after sunset. The endless stretch of sand meeting the vast blue sea in an idyllic setting is what Radhanagar Beach...
