Balaji Cheruvu center is a main junction of Smart city Kakinada.This is a most busiest Junction and stop for buses and autos from different areas.We can see there a construction like a memorial for Nehru. Here, The road towards South is Temple Street,is famous for T.T.D.kalyaana mandapam and many temples of Lord Sri Venkateswara and Lord Siva etc... Famous Gold traders & Jewellers like Malabar,Khajana,Joyalukkas,Vaibhav,Raj, etc...also established their business in this street. The south road corner,where T.T.D. Kalyaana mandapam was built,was a big pond with name Balaji Cheruvu in older days.Later it was closed and Kalyana mandapam was constructed. The road towards East is Raja Rama Mohana Roy Road is famous for wholesale Book traders.This road meets N.H.216(Kakinada Main Road) at its end. The road towards North is Salipeta road and remaining road towards West is links city with Indra Palem area. District Collectorate,R. D.O.office., Government General Hospital,Theosophical society,District Treasury office,District Jail,District courts,B.C & S.C welfare offices,Zilla Parishad,Woman & District Child protection cell etc... Balaji Cheruvu Centre name has come based on a Pond called Balaji. Currently no pond is existing and Kalyana Mandapam was constructed by TTD in the name of Lord as Venkateswara Kalyana Mandapam. This place is a very busiest place and all incoming buses will stop before reaching to RTC Complex. Also you get Shared Autos to Pithapuram, Gollalamamidiada and to Samalkot. One of my favorite spots, from this you can go in 4 different directions. If you are driving towards EAST you land in one of busiest road i.e Main Road, all shopping options are available, if you are driving towards NORTH it leads you to spots like Avon Diagnostics, Sravani and many other hospitals, if you further go you can reach Municipal Girls Highschool, further you get famous Bala Tripura Sundari temple and so on till Nukalamma temple / Railway station, if you move towards SOUTH it is more filled with temples, but you CANNOT go as it is One way so you have to another route to enter here, if you drive towards WEST you will reach Govt.
