Hotel Jaya Residency — Hotel in Andhra Pradesh

Misguiding information. There is no parking inside. One has to park vehicle on the road and at somebody's mercy. 2 beds, a washroom, cupboard, TV, 2 chairs, a center table all in one room of 15x15'. For this clumsy and congested room the tariff is exorbitant. Restaurant is no different. Though the food served is tasty and finger licking it doesn't compensate or substitute the crampy and congested sittings. Seating at pillars is a torture, there is no elbow room on those seats meant for two. The man at reception had no answer when I asked for free parking, as mentioned in the site. No body would question, if there is no mention about parking, but when it's so specifically and prominently mentioned that there is free parking, every one will question. It's not only misleading but luring the customers on a false promise. I'm too generous in awarding overall...

Writing this review only for the restaurant this hotel has on the first floor. It's open to the public and accessible from the outside. We were staying in this area and visited this restaurant for breakfast. We ordered masala dosa, rava dosa, idli, vada, tea and coffee. Loved each and every item. The taste was really good, the quantity was also good and all the savouries were served with sides, sambhar, chutney. One of my friends had an allergy from peanuts. When she said that, the staff was so sweet enough to bring two different types of chutneys, more peanut free. And they brought it for everyone and kept refilling without asking. This hotel is a subsidiary of famous Daspalla chain of hotels from Vizag. Located in a prime location with very good access through road. Very near to bus stand and relatively near to railway station. Being a old building, rooms are just average. Most rooms have problem with AC. Room size is ok. Beds and mattresses are very old and make a creeking sound even with slightest movement. Bathrooms are a disaster in most rooms. Some rooms the bathrooms were renovated. In house restaurant food is average with breakfast being good, veg lunch good and rest all very average. The grape juice is awesome and filled with real fruit, sort of old timers USP here.
