Very good place to go with family One place in Visakhapatnam which is as famous as the sprawling beaches here is the Kailasagiri Park situated on a hilltop. Kailasagiri is one of the prime attractions and a popular picnic spot for all the tourists visiting the beautiful city of Vizag. Spread over 100 acres on a hilltop, Kailasagiri offers a panoramic view of the surroundings that every nature lover craves for. A well-maintained park, Kailasagiri is always bustling with people enjoying the tranquil atmosphere and scenic beauty around. The major attraction of Kailasagiri is the 40 feet tall statue of Shiva and Parvathi. Kailasagiri derives its name from this statue depicting the abode of Lord Shiva and Parvathi. This hilltop can be reached by ropeway as well as by road. The experience of taking a ropeway while enjoying the breathtaking view of the city is something that everyone should cherish. The journey through the curved roads around the hill is also equally enjoyable. Along with this, there are a number of other attractions in and around Kailasagiri park like the Floral clock, Titanic viewpoint, Jungle trails, Shanthi Ashram, and Shanku Chakra Nama. Another remarkable attraction popular among the kids is the Toy train. This train gives a circular tour of the park and is thoroughly enjoyed by the tiny tots. The children's play park and horse rides are also equally popular among the kids. Kailasagiri is also a famous place for paragliding with excellent gliding facilities. To satisfy oneโs hunger pangs there are a number of eateries around this park.

If you are planning a trip to Vishakapatnam, or you are in Vishakapatnam already, KailasaGiri is #1 go-to place. Which city has a hill and beach ? Even both are available, which hill gives the best aerial view of the beach than the KailasaGiri does ?? ๐๐๐๐ I would recommend the visitors to go here in the evening around 4PM*ยน. There are 3 ways to reach the hill top. 1. Ropeway 2. Bus 3. Steps(Walkway) I would highly recommend the visitors to take the walkway since the evening walk up the hill would be pleasing and wonderful. It would take half an hour to climb the hill. (Carry a water bottle or two while climbing). After reaching the hill top, one would find that KailasaGiri is a park. The Titanic spot is where the aerial view of the beach is just awesome. There are slides, swings, eateries in the park premises. There is a toy train(mini train) which goes along the perimeter of the hill top. City view, Hill View, Beach View can be obtained in this trip. The highlight of this park is the sculpture of Lord Shiva and Parvati statues. They are highly embossed with details. The dark night sky would be complementing the bright white statues. One could get a bus down the hill of they leave before 7PM. *ยน_____________________ I recommend the 4PM time because, one could cover all the aspects, including the mini train before 7 PM and could catch the last bus down hill. If not 4PM, Please make arrangements accordingly.

It is 'the' tourist attraction of Vizag. I tried visiting the place during early monsoon last year but it was closed. So, I returned a few months back with my friends. It was surely worth the visit. You can get the whole view of Vizag City from top and it is breath taking. You can spend atleast a couple of hours here. Firstly, you enter through an Arch and then there is the statue of Lord Shiva which is grand and beautiful. Next, there are several activites inside the plot like horse riding, mini train and Ropeway. I would surely recommend the ropeway which will give you delightful views of the Vizag landscape at decent rates. The mini train seems over priced though. There a lot of view points where you can click DP quality pics. You can also roam about the area. Being covered in trees and being on a hilltop, it doesn't feel so hot especially due to the winds. There is a Hollywood style Kailasagiri logo on the mountain side which is visible from far away. The place (the highest point) next to the logo is very pleasant and you can have a picnic there on the grass. It is good place for a familiy to unwind and spend time together or for friends to chitchat and enjoy the views that Vizag has to offer.

We Enjoyed a lot the Trip to Kailasagiri Hill :) Such a Lovely place. At summer period u may feel warmth weather during the mid day period on the top of the hill, but it is enjoyable. I suggest you to keep a whole day plan for this trip. Because it has many things to do there, such as Toy Train, Rope Way and many things. A very large place. Main Attraction is the Large Statues of Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati. Many Food stalls are also there, and other decorative or stationary shops as well there for shopping. Communication system is very easy as Govt Buses are operating there for every 10 to 15 mins. Scenery view from the top to the bottom ( City & Seashore ) is really awesome. Titanic Corner View is there, U can click some lovely moments there :) Facilities like Drinking water, Sitting Benches, Grasslands, Parking places & Toilets are available there. So it will be comfortable for the travelers. Don't Forget to carry a water bottle along with you, It will be the first thing u required there to get energy :) Plan ur trip with Friends & Family. You will surely enjoy the place.

It's one of the famous place in Vishakapatnam and it's wonderful and one must visit this place. It's a place where you are free to go.. And they only charge Rs. 20 while going up. And you will find various eating places and spots. And there are lush green gardens and well maintained. It is well designed and the cleaniness is really good. One must enjoy the view from the top. And also there are different spots where you can sit and enjoy the view with your friends and family. It's a picnic spots too. There are various spots for all types of visitors like family, lovers, friends, children and for everyone else. And there is a train ride you can take, they charge only Rs. 80 per adult for non. Ac and Rs. 130 for Ac coach but I would recommend you to go to non ac coach cause you can enjoy the cold breeze and proper view of the place. Although train goes really slow, speed is around 10 to 15km/h although it takes you all around the Kailasagiri place. And I am sure you will enjoy.
