Avalahalli Lake — Attraction in Bengaluru

Anjanapura-Avalahalli lake is a pretty decent lake. There seems to be large amounts of filth coming into the lake but areas have been provided for natural filtration. Water quality looks pretty decent. There is a gravel walkway around the lake. Not all areas seems to be very neat, lake needs a bit of maintenance. However once the trees that are planted grow big, the lake would be a much better place. The lake was beautiful especially the island in the middle of the lake, it was green with lots of birds.

There was waste directly flowing into the lake however I could see many people fishing in the lake not sure it should be allowed.

There was also so many garbage items thrown into the lake.

This is a very good lake. One can walk around 15 min to circle it once. In recent years the lake has been restored with an island inside it. Due to the island many migratory birds are visiting the place. Also there has been good tree plantation in the lake. The lake is well. Lit by lamps at night.
