Sasive Restaurant a hidden jem in the anjanapura town
Located on Kanakapura Road, Sasive offers easy accessibility. The area has ample street parking, making it hassle-free for visitors to dine at any time of day.
One of the major highlights is the abundant roadside parking available, which is a rare luxury in Bangalore. This makes it an excellent choice for both small groups and large gatherings.
The restaurant provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere that balances modern comfort with traditional elements. The space is well-designed to accommodate both families and casual diners.
The menu showcases a delightful mix of traditional and innovative dishes:
Tender Coconut Ice Cream A standout dessert that perfectly captures the essence of fresh tender coconut. The creamy texture and natural sweetness make it a refreshing end to any meal.
Sabudana Vada Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside, these vadas are expertly seasoned and make for an excellent snack or starter. The texture is spot-on, avoiding the common pitfall of becoming too chewy. The sweet chutney is a cherry on top
Nugekai Soup A unique offering featuring moringa (drumstick) leaves, this healthy soup is both nutritious and flavorful. The earthy, comforting taste makes it a perfect starter.
Akki Rotti Crispy rice flatbread that's well-spiced and perfectly cooked. The texture achieves that ideal balance of crispiness and softness, especially when served hot.
Service is generally efficient, though peak hours might see moderate waiting times. The quality of food makes any short wait worthwhile.
Prices are reasonable and upmarket considering the quality and portion sizes. The unique menu offerings and quality of ingredients justify the pricing.
The restaurant maintains high standards of cleanliness throughout the premises, from the dining area to the washrooms.
Final verdict Sasive successfully combines traditional Karnataka cuisine with modern presentation and service standards. The restaurant particularly excels in its unique dishes and comfortable dining environment.

Read moreTo begin with, as soon as we walked in on a Sunday afternoon, someone approached us and told us that we were supposed to book the table and only come here, and they made us wait for 15 minutes even though the tables were not reserved. We received the menu card after multiple requests after being asked to sit. We had a small child with us who was hungry. The waiter approached us and informed us that they only had two menu cards and asked us to make adjustments. We all agreed. To take the order, we had to literally call waiters on loop, which resulted in a lathergic response. We ordered starters and appetizers. After nearly 25 minutes of asking, we finally got our starters. With this, we realized that the main course would almost certainly be late, so we ordered it as well. We did not receive the beverages we had initially ordered. We were irritated, and our neighbors' reactions were similar. We literally stood up to ask for our order, and then someone came up to us and said, "We are delaying because we have an unexpected crowd and fewer staff." And I could still see many tables that were unoccupied. I was extremely dissatisfied with the service and responses. It has a nice atmosphere, but it should serve...
Read moreThe place has a nice vibe with a small but really tempting curated menu. Big plus for us is that they allow dogs, which we were super grateful for. We have been looking for dining place to go with our dog and this was just perfect for Sunday afternoon.
Food wise, it was a mixed experience hence 3 star for food. A lot of dishes were on the saltier side, which made it harder to fully enjoy even though the flavors were decent. Paneer ghee roast was nice, fish dishes and ghee rice were also good. Chicken didn’t work for us though. Most of the chicken items were salty or mid.
The bigger letdown was the mushroom masala and paneer chettinad, both were overly salty, with paneer also had a raw onion taste. We pointed it out a couple times to the staff, but unfortunately the restaurant didn’t offer any resolution.
Another thing to work on is- the wait time. It can definitely improve. Portion size is decent. Hopefully they fix the issues since we loved the vibe...
