Vijinapura Lake — Attraction in Bengaluru

Vijinapura lake is a large lake in the heart of the city, and it is a popular spot for people to visit. Unfortunately, it is not well maintained and it is not secure. The fence is broken in many places and it is hard to distinguish between the lake and the colony that is nearby. Cars and autorickshaws are parked inside the lake, despite there being a security guard present. Garbage is thrown throughout the area, and it is clear that authorities need to take strict action in order to secure the lake.

Despite these issues, Vijinapura lake is still a great place to take a stroll and watch the birds. The birds here are very used to humans and can be seen up close. Some of the birds that can be found here are Grey Herons, Indian Pond Herons, Cormorants, Eurasian Coots, and Little Grebes.

Vijinapura lake is not very well maintained, the fence has been cut in many places and it is hard to distinguish where the colony starts and the lake ends on one side. Auto's and cars are parked inside the lake, even though there is a security in the lake, nobody seems to care much. Garbage is strewn at multiple places.
