Children Traffic Park — Attraction in Chandigarh

I appeared & cleared my driving test today. Since there's always a chaos around the process, let me share my experience.

Documents to carry - Form 2 & LL

The official working time was 9:30. The traffic park gates opened at 9. We had to park our vehicle in queue & wait. A photographer came & took our snap in front of our vehicle & then we were sent to the control room to collect token/RFID. On my turn, had to flash the RFID, hand over my form to the instructor & begin test when the traffic signal turned green. The reverse parking is to be completed within 3 mins & we must halt for 5 secs on the bridge. All road signs & signals must be followed. The vehicle should not stop anywhere during the test. After completion we have to park our vehicle outside the park and return back to the starting point waiting arena. The results were announced after 30-40 mins. I was given a handwritten slip with unique ID. I have to go to sector 17 RLA office counter 11 to submit the fees & the license would be sent...

A well maintained park. There is a lot to learn for kids related to traffic rule and rode safeties. Apart from park, various official duties related to vehicle are also discharged there like passing/inspection of vehicles for registration. Driving test for DRIVING license is also carried out here. I went for vehicle registration. The process of registration is very fast and most importantly it is fair. Which is rare in other states. I appreciate Chandigarh Police and officials for their fair and transparent work. You cannot find any agent there and this has become possible due to Chandigarh police. I salute them for their fairness and transparency. If you are coming for registration of vehicle, follow the following steps: Go to the personnel sitting on a chair with table outside the park entry, along with your documents. Wait for a while, another official will.come and he will take photograph of your vehicle along with you . Wait for another few minutes, inspector will come. He will inspect your vehicle and finally sign your prepared document. Finally submit the signed document in RTO office. But do not forget to take appointment before going to RTO office. Wait...

#Few Points for first timers who are going for 4-Wheeler Driving Test -

*Wearing shoes is compulsory. No token will be given if you do not wear shoes.

*Try to reach around 9am irrespective of the appointment time. (Tokens are given in first come first serve basis provided you have a valid appointment)

*Wait in queue for the Photo to be taken along with the vehicle.

*Then they will tell you to go and get the RFID Token.

*After that they will instruct for the test.

*After completion of test wait for some time for declaration of result.

Tips for Test -

*Try not to stop the vehicle anywhere. (Most Important) They failed me for this at the U-Turn.

*Try to ace the reverse parking within the time limit of 3 minutes without any hit or vehicle going out of track.

*Follow the traffic rules, like indicators as and when required.

*Stop, Look and Go at intersections.

*Follow the traffic lights around the Zebra Crossings.

*Try to have the vehicle in the track all the time as any part of vehicle, tyre or bumper, outside track will be flagged.
