Nestled in Mayur Vihar, East Delhi, the Uttara Guruvayurappan Temple offers a spiritual sanctuary dedicated to Lord Krishna. Enshrined here as Guruvayurappan, a form worshipped in the famed Kerala temple of Guruvayur, the deity draws devotees, particularly from the Malayali and Tamil communities in Delhi. The temple's architecture reflects its Keralan roots, with two grand gopurams (gateway towers) flanking the eastern and western entrances. Inside the sanctum sanctorum, two chambers house the idols of Lord Krishna and Bhagavati. Surrounding the main shrine, devotees will find smaller temples dedicated to Ganesha, Shiva, Ayyappa, and even a replica of the Sarpa Kavu, honoring the Naga Devatas (snake deities). Adding to the temple's serene atmosphere are the enchanting arti rituals. While specific timings might change, you can inquire upon arrival or check their website (if available). But what truly sets the temple apart is the mesmerizing spectacle of hundreds of diyas (oil lamps) illuminating the grounds every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. These evenings transform the temple into a captivating display of devotion, creating an unforgettable experience for visitors. For those seeking a wholesome experience, the temple canteen serves delicious and affordable South Indian Meal, a delightful way to conclude your visit. Temple timing in summer Morning 05.30 AM to 11.00 AM, Evening 6.00 PM to 9.00 PM The nearest metro station is Mayur Vihar Phase 1, about 1 kilometer away from the temple.

Guruvayoor temple is one of most beautiful temple's in Delhi, majorly visited by South Indian devotees. The place has space for multiple marriages at a same time. The place has good devotional powers. I have been to place for multiple marriages, and the good part is the arrangement and feel at the place. There are marriage hall which has more than 3 floors and each floor can have one function at a time. Multiple catering services are available at the place and each one them offer tasty food. Since it is a temple only vegetarian food can be included in the menu. On can choose from South Indian menu or North Indian menu or even mixed menu as option. The decoration is usually same for all kind of functions. The temple also has facility for other kind of southern cultural things. Visit the place for devotional, foodies and functions at a same time. It is a beautiful temple.

The principal deity of this Temple is Sree Guruvayurappan (Lord Vishnu), who bestows his immeasurable blessings on the devotees who visit the Temple in large numbers to offer their prayers. The Thantric rights of this temple are vested with the Puliyannur Illam, in Trippunithara, Ernakulam. The Temple is managed by Arsha Dharma Parishad (Regd), an organisation registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. True to the age-old traditions of Hindu Temples, this Temple has not only promoted religious activities but also worked as a centre to cater to the socio-cultural needs of the society.

This is a Krishna Temple(Guruvayurappan) which is a real replica of famous "Guruvayoorappan Temple " of Trichur District in Kerala state. Every year in August-September month, we are celebrating a 10 days festival called "Utsavam" ended with an " arattu"(bathing ceremony of Krishna Bhagavan In the temple pond) on the last day of the Festival. On that day after "aratu", the temple committee-Arsha Dharma parishad- provides a Royal Feast (Bada Khana) to all of the participants of this ceremony .In this feast every year, approximately more than 5000 people are participating and our volunteers conducting this program doing it very systematically in a enviable way. This temple is very near to Mayur vihar Pocket-3 station (the new metro lane in majenda lane) which will start from 2018.
