I went here with my family during a weekend outing - didn’t expect too much honestly, but ended up spending a really nice 2-3 hours. If you’re looking for a chill picnic spot with a bit of learning and nature mixed in, this place is pretty solid.

First thing - the main dinosaur skeleton near the entrance is huge and grabs your attention right away. My younger brother was super excited and kept guessing dinosaur names. Inside, there are fossil displays and some prehistoric models, and though some of the info boards are faded or dusty, you can still get an idea about how rich the area is in fossils. One of the staff members told us Gujarat has actual fossil excavation sites - didn’t know that before!

We brought our own snacks and laid out a small picnic mat near the botanical garden side. Lot of greenery, trees, and shade — perfect spot to chill. Saw a couple of peacocks roaming around freely... one actually sat on top of a low wall and just stared at us, felt like he was judging our food choices.

There’s a mini zoo kind of setup too. One leopard was resting inside a cage, looked bored honestly. The cage is small, I felt bad seeing such a powerful animal locked up like that. Same for a few birds in cages nearby - maybe they can improve that in future.

The learning section was okay. Good for kids - they’ve tried to mix fun with education. Saw a group of schoolchildren there who seemed to enjoy it a lot. I did learn a few things myself, like how old some of the fossils here are... makes you feel small in front of Earth’s history.

Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 is because some parts of the park need maintenance - paint fading, boards missing info in English, and the animal section could be better managed.

Still, as a short half-day outing with family or friends, it’s a good experience. And bonus: the place isn’t too crowded (at least when we went), so you can enjoy at your own pace.

It's not only Dinosaur park. But it also has a zoo in it as well.. It's quite big..Just a Vast land made to cover on foot ...!! No proper signage, no proper directions for visitors. Too big an area to cover on foot.. if you want to walk 4 to 5 kilometres and watch a weird looking fossil of a so-called Blue Whale then please do visit.. else it's a waste of time and energy... The only thing worth visiting is the lion and tiger section.. and thus happens to be at the starting of the zoo it self.. the birds section has few species of them which are just rotting there.. the deer section is very big and you can't properly see them.. the blue Whale fossil is something unique but lack of proper visuals and information boards makes it a dull looking attraction..It's quite big..Just a Vast land made to cover on foot ...!! I don't understand why there are no signages.. What is preventing to put nice signages so that new visits can take benefit. The dinosaur section is also not properly maintained.. At some places some round stones were just kept like that without any information provided.. some people were saying it is some fossil egg.. Good knows...
