The Goa Science Center & Planetarium, Goa 🧪⛱️ Where Science Meets Fun and Learning The Goa Science Centre & Planetarium, nestled on New Marine Highway in Miramar, Panjim, is a delightful hub for science enthusiasts of all ages. Established in 2001 as a collaborative project between the National Council of Science Museums and Goa's Department of Science, Technology & Environment, it spans 5 acres of interactive exhibits and educational fun. Visiting the Goa Science Centre is a joy ride through the realms of physics, astronomy, and marine science. The center houses two thematic galleries: Fun Science and Science of Oceans, offering hands-on exhibits where you can test your strength with pulleys or experience the mysteries of the deep sea. If you're visiting with kids, they will particularly enjoy the Mirror Magic Gallery and the outdoor Science Park, where learning through play is the mantra. The digital planetarium is a highlight, with shows scheduled at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:00 PM, taking you on a cosmic journey through the stars. For a bit of extra thrill, don’t miss the 3D shows, available at 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4:30 PM. These shows are not just for kids; adults often find themselves equally captivated. The Science Centre operates daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, except during Diwali and Holi. Entry is reasonably priced at INR 50 for adults and INR 30 for children. Special shows, such as the planetarium or 3D shows, cost an additional INR 15 per head. Interestingly, the center isn't just about exhibits. It hosts a variety of educational programs and workshops aimed at igniting scientific curiosity among visitors. Events like Science Demonstration Lectures and Astro Night Tourism are regular features on their calendar. So, whether you’re a science buff or just looking for an educational day out with family, the Goa Science Centre & Planetarium is a must-visit. And if you're worried about missing out on the beach vibes, don't fret—Miramar Beach is just a short stroll away, allowing you to seamlessly blend learning with leisure.

3 D show and Planetarium show are just below avarage. Video quality is absurd. In these times when even cheaper smart phones boast excellent megapixel videos quality, these shows are decade too old. Disappointed. I make it a point to visit Science and Planetarium of the cities I visit. Sadly this one is wastage of time and money. It could have been so much better. Pros : Oceanic section and mirrors section are only saving grace of this so called science place Cons : 1. Dirty , smelly seats, I don't know when last it was cleaned. Sweat smell is ingrained in it's fibre. Nauseous experience. ( In Planetarium show) 2. Poor poor video quality of so called 3 D Dolphin show , where no fish were distinguishable. It was completely night time with obscure screen .. 3. Only security guards were present though it was weekday. No one I mean no one to give information or make kids understand what was what. Never experienced this ever before.

This is one of the undiscover place in Goa. Usually people come for sea beach and party so mostly this place is ignored by most if them. But I think if you have some time you can explore this place as well. Especially for family with kid this is the best place to explore. Planetarium - Not that great usually 20-25 min show and I think max capacity around 50. Science experiments - you will got lots if science experiment here . My be I can compare this with Science city in Kolkata. If you have 2-3 hours then you can explore this place. Advice - Most if the hotel check out time around 12 and if you are traveling by bus then mosty it is evening. As this place is around 5 km from Panjim bus stop you can utilize this time here . Note - Casinos are close by so you can choose which one you like.

This review is for the science center which we visited a few days ago. Not very huge, but each display is maintained very well and adequate information is provided on how to use it. Not just children, even curious adults will have a good time marveling at the wonders of science here at the Goa science center. The room of mirrors is a wonderful attraction. They also have a 10 minute show on Dolphins (Four times a day) but we couldn't attend it due to paucity of time. There are Lawns outside in which also there are statues of dinosaurs and other science based interactive games which one can enjoy. I would highly recommend this place for children and adults alike.

Relatively small set up, but very well maintained. In fact you need at least half day to enjoy science experiments. Staffs are very helpful & give detailed demonstration. 3D show is wonderful aspect here. Planetarium show is for 30 minutes. And there are lot of indoor exhibits based on physics principles. Mirror based exhibits are the ones, I loved the most. Very good and well maintained science centre..... All models are totally in working condition. Must go if u are a science lover... There are trainees also available at helpdesk.... Nice place for school going children to visit, equally gud for parents to refresh their knowledge through simple projects too.
