Safa Masjid is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the city. This historical mosque is a testament to the rich heritage of our country and a peaceful oasis for anyone seeking solace amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life. The first thing that strikes you upon arrival is the impeccable maintenance of the premises. The beautifully landscaped gardens are a sight to behold. The well-kept pathways and the surrounding greenery add to the overall charm of the place. Safa Masjid is a serene haven, inviting visitors to take a leisurely stroll or simply sit and absorb the tranquil atmosphere. The mosque itself is a marvel of architecture. Its intricate design and historical significance make it a must-visit for history enthusiasts and architecture aficionados. The interior of the mosque is equally impressive, with its exquisite detailing and a sense of spirituality that envelops you as you enter. However, there is one minor issue that caught my attention during my visit—the pond near the mosque was filled with algae. While this did not significantly detract from the overall experience, it was a small blemish on an otherwise pristine environment. It would be wonderful if the authorities could address this concern and restore the pond to its natural beauty. In conclusion, Safa Masjid is a place of historical, architectural, and spiritual importance that offers a peaceful respite from the chaos of the outside world. Its well-maintained surroundings and the sense of tranquility it provides make it a worthy destination. I would highly recommend a visit, with the hope that the issue with the pond can be resolved to further enhance this delightful place.

recently visited Safa Masjid in Goa and I was thoroughly impressed with the beauty and serenity of this historic mosque. The architecture is stunning, with intricate carvings and a beautiful dome that is a sight to behold. The peaceful atmosphere inside the mosque was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Goa's busy streets. The staff at Safa Masjid were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I felt at ease exploring the mosque and learning more about its history. It was fascinating to hear about the important role that the mosque has played in the local community over the years. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Safa Masjid for anyone visiting Goa. Whether you are interested in history, architecture, or simply looking for a peaceful place to reflect and pray, this mosque is a must-see. The mosque situated centre of the pond and peripheral garden. So the environment is very soothing and Sufi. The only one mosque like this architecture in India I ever seen.

Wonderful place very clean and peaceful. One of the best Monuments in the state, which have been well maintained and preserved. Structure is very acrylic and built on natural red stone which looks very unique and enticing. Design is also very simple and traditional. Surrounding is very green and clean. A small pond therein makes the place refreshing moody and beautiful. A good place to visit with family, friends and bear and dear ones .Being a holy place atmosphere there is always pleasant and cool. Do visit and spend some peaceful time observing the ancient architecture and be happy. Keep Goa Green and Clean.

Safa Masjid, located in Ponda, Goa, is a historical mosque built in 1560 AD by Ibrahim Adil Shah I. Its design showcases simple yet elegant Islamic architecture with a distinct terracotta tile roof and arched niches. The mosque stands at the center of a large, rectangular garden, providing a peaceful and serene environment for visitors. A key feature of the complex is the large ablution hauz or water tank. This tank, surrounded by arched structures and steps, was essential for the ritual washing before prayers, and it contributes to the mosque's tranquil atmosphere. The mosque's architecture reflects the unique blend of Islamic and local Goan styles. The main building itself is relatively simple, but the surrounding structures and the large water tank add to its grandeur. The arched mehrabs and niches around the hauz are particularly notable, showing intricate stonework that has withstood the test of time. The overall design, with its symmetrical layout and peaceful garden, creates a sense of harmony and spiritual calm, making it a compelling site for both worshippers and tourists. As a place of worship, Safa Masjid continues to be a significant site for the local Muslim community. It remains an active mosque, and its historical and religious importance draws visitors from different backgrounds. The serene setting, away from the hustle and bustle, makes it an ideal spot for quiet reflection and prayer. Its status as a protected monument also ensures its preservation for future generations, allowing its legacy to endure. Safa Masjid is easily accessible for tourists and is well-maintained. The grounds are spacious and provide a pleasant walk around the mosque and its garden. While it is a popular place for locals, it is not as crowded as some other historical sites in Goa, offering a more intimate experience. The simple, elegant design and the historical context make it a must-visit for anyone interested in Goa's rich cultural and architectural heritage. The site is a perfect example of a sacred space that doubles as a...
