Antique Mardol — Restaurant in Goa

Antique Mardol sells authentic antique food. So antique that most of their dishes date back to time when use of spices in food was not discovered. They mention (Verna style) under their Antique Mardol thali which is fake. It's Goan thali served in European style. The fish curry is so watery and spice less tasteless that even a dal tadka can beat it. Instead of giving too many tasteless items under the name sea food dishes.. A fried fish, spicy tangy kismoor, and a pickle of fish would have been a better choice. There is nothing much to speak about their food. Ambience is great, cleanliness is great, service is nice. The experience would have been better if they played a soft music on background. A bar is coming up soon and let's hope for the best. This place is always filled with people. Its located in the highway in Verna One may not be pleased at the first look of the restuarnt, its located in the basement , stairs leading to it, table and ambience looks very ordinary however one cannot complaint the food. Thali is a must try dish here We had Goan Seafood Thali, Fish thali and Chicken thali . Seafood thaIi was the best, though its priced 350 rs it has a good spread, it comes with Fish fry, Prawn gravy, Fish curry, Crab gravy, Snail,dry fish, palak, salad etc. If one is looking for authentic goan taste and travelling btw airport to old goa then they should must stop over this...

I had a frustrating experience at Antique Mardol Ponda. We wanted to order the crunchy chicken, but our waiter, seemingly clueless, mistakenly ordered crispy chicken instead. This simple mix-up ruined our meal, as we didn’t enjoy the dish at all.

To make matters worse, the fried chicken we received was not cleaned properly and still had feathers on it. It’s unacceptable that the staff didn’t seem to care about food quality or accuracy in orders. I expected better service and attention to detail.
