Bhujia Hills/Fort is named after temple of snake god Bhujanga located at hilltop. Earlier this place was fully sealed by military. Even today you can't go there late night like after evening 5-6 PM. Many trekking camps & police trainings are getting arranged here. During early morning 6 AM the hills view looks like heaven showing whole Bhuj clearly you can go for sunrise or sunset timings for beautiful views, photoshoots, pre-weddings etc. The check dam lights view is amazing. During rainy season full Of clouds, foag !! Currently stairs are not properly built so be careful while trekking it's risky !! If possible wear comfortable sports shoes. Get you water bottle snacks cameras with youhilltop, Enjoy that with family Or Metime silence nature after reaching hilltop. It's still under construction they're building giant watch etc. For trekking there are many paths so need to find good one for you.

According to the legend, Kutch was ruled by the Nāga chieftains in past. Sagai, a queen of Sheshapattana, allied with Bheria Kumar and rose up against Bhujanga, the last chieftain of Naga. After the battle, Bheria was defeated and Sagai committed sati. The hill where he lived later came to known as Bhujia Hill in Kutch and the town at the foothill as Bhuj. Bhujang was later worshiped by the people as snake god, Bhujanga, and a temple was constructed in his reverence.Smritivan, a memorial park and museum dedicated to victims of the 2001 Gujarat earthquake was built atop the hill. More than 13000 trees dedicated to each victim were planted in the garden and (50 )small water reservoirs were created on the hill.

Bhujiyo Dungar has a rich and illustrious history beyond its geological importance. Three hundred years ago, in 1723, the local rulers, the Jadejas, built a fort atop it to serve as a defensive bulwark against Mughal and Gujarat Sultanate invasions, later updated to accommodate the transition from bows and arrows to firearms. (Underscoring the site’s strategic value, the British also erected a cantonment nearby.) During the battles with the Mughals, the Jadeja clan was aided by the Naga clan, who joined arms to protect the Kutch region.
