This experience is specifically related to Gwalia outlet in Ekta Food Court, Statue of Unity, Kevadyia. While some can term it as a mistake to go to Gwalia and take Masala Dosa or Uttapam at a Gwalia outlet (as that is not supposed to be their core line of eatables),. But since they are offering it on menu, and with a big brand like Gwalia, they are supposed to give good quality. So coming to my specific issues : This review is for a visit by me and my family and friends on 19th February 2021 in evening at around 7.30 pm. The quality of masala (or sabzi) in the Masala dosa was not at all worth it. It was only potato that too with big chunks of potatos. Also, after taking 152 Rupees per plate. The sambar and chutney was not at all worth it. In the name of something like mix or veg Uttapam, only the same sabji from masala dosa was just slapped on the uttapam. i had ordered fo 4 Masala Dosas, and had informed that I am in a hurry to catch the Ahmedabad Janashatabdi. Somehow, the chap very confidently pushed a plain (sada) dosa on the counter saying that it was as per my order. Though he didn't insist that I take it (my mistake, I should have waited to see what he says). Anyway, since I had no time to push him to make another additional Masala Dosa, We managed with 3 Masala and 1 Sada Dosa. Spoons: Most irritating part was, wooden flat spoons of small size were given for sambhar and chutney. On query with the counter person, he coolly said that he did not have any other normal size deep spoons to offer so that the sambhar or chutney can be held properly.

My point from the whole description above is, do brands like Gwalia, or any other, take the customers for granted? Can they really push anything to the customers and get away with it? At tourists places, the food choice for customers is limited, so people go to reputed brands. But with this experience and with many such experiences in the past, I have come to understand that the outlets are least bothered because they know that the customer is hardly going to return to that tourist place again so they don't care. But I surely believe that such sort sighted view by so called good food Brands is going to hit them hard in future as power of public opinion is very big and with online platforms available for such experiences, people come to know about the problems pretty fast. I would encourage everybody to put reviews of all their experiences (good or bad) on public platforms to achieve two things, 1. People come to know about the real quality and 2. The so called big names don't take their customers for granted. It will take time, but it...

Veg. Veg. Veg. Only Veg. Mazaa Aa Gaya!

The food court houses all the big brands of food – Kailash Parbat, Subways, Gwalia etc. So, there is something for everybody. Indian cuisine is available in plenty. Enjoy a Punjabi thali or a go for plain roti sabji. For South Indians, there is a Dosa Idli counter with lots of delicacies from Tamil Nadu. For junk food addicts, there is Subway and for dessert crazy people, there is Amul ice-cream parlour. The ice-creams sold in entire Ekat Nagar are only of Amul. The ice-cream parlour of Amul sells premium and unique desserts also, which you do not get even in Mumbai. That is how your brand country famous, as people from across the nation, across the globe keep coming here!

The serving time is also average. So, you can relish a meal here, before boarding your last train from the railways station nearby. Usually this is the last stop of people attempting a one day trip to SOU.

Parking is available on the main road in ample. All in all, a very good experience. All types of payments accepted here – cash, debit cards, credit cards and India ‘s favourite – UPI!

A nice place where you can catch up on lunch after doing some sightseeing near Sardar Patel Statue. If you have been to the Zoological Park in the morning and are famished by noon, this is the nearest place to go. It is bang opposite the parking place, or where the buses and e-rickshaws drop you.

The foodcourt has contemporary design with tree like cutouts enclosing the large glasses which give full view of the surroundings when you are sitting inside.

There are stalls of all well-known brands and you get anything you want to eat from Pav Bhaji, to Chole Puri, to Pizza and South Indian Food too. There is ice-cream and cold drinks also. As it is housed in a nutrition park, they have written calories of each food item in the menu. I think they have also tried to use healthier options like paneer in pizza.

Overall feel is nice, with spacious seating and cool air conditioning. There is self-service, but they are prompt...

Ekta Food Court is a solid go-to spot if you're visiting the Statue of Unity and need a comfortable, air-conditioned place to eat with options ranging from global fast food chains to Indian cuisine. The ambiance and seating get high marks, and it's especially handy if you're with a group or kids. However, if you're after a wide variety of dishes or have specific food preferences, it's good to temper expectations—some outlets may be closed, certain items might be unavailable, and the food can sometimes feel overpriced or inconsistent in quality. If you'd like, I can also help you explore better alternatives nearby or suggest specific cuisines or dishes available at Ekta Food Court.
