One of the good hill stations in Gujarat. Saputara is blessed with great vegetation & scenic beauty, one of the reasons why you will always find this place with pleasant temperatures. It’s a Small town in the laps of Nature with lodging & boarding facilities (In all ranges economy – Medium – Premium). Prime attractions are; lake, table top with adventure games like zip line, rope way etc., horse riding, camel rides and so on. For families with kids, this is the most ideal place for a small picnic (2-3 days stay is enough). In case of group of adults coming here, one can opt for resort, by paying a nominal difference of amount (In addition to hotel tariffs), one can enjoy other amenities like swimming pool / indoor games etc. Since this is located on the GJ / MH border, both Gujarati & Marathi languages are spoken here. Most of the road side vendors / hotel staff / workers / shop owners are Maharastrians and hence you can see the influence on the road side eateries as well. (You can get both Gujarati & Marathi style prepared snakcs meals here). For instance Marathi style Kanda bhaji / Vada paav is available here. Ideal time of Visit : Monsoon is the best phase of time where in one can enjoy the max, the lush green vegetation in and around Saputara makes this place even more beautiful. Connectivity : GSRTC is giving regular services from the near by major cities, however since there are no local transport options available here (Autoricksha / cabs) it is advised to come here with a personal vehicle. (This gives you the liberty to move in and around Saputara at your convenience). Point of Caution : Since this town falls under the GJ administration, carrying & consuming liquor here is punishable (GJ is a Dry state). However since MH border is very nearby, people who are looking to have some booze can attend there plans easily (Point to note – Good quality of restaurants & bars are available but at half an hour drive in personal vehicle).
