Jogini Falls is a captivating waterfall located near the popular hill station of Manali in Himachal Pradesh, India. It is a natural wonder that enthralls visitors with its mesmerizing beauty and tranquil surroundings.

Situated in the Vashisht Village, about 3 kilometers away from the main town of Manali, Jogini Falls is known for its cascading waters and picturesque setting. The waterfall is formed by the Jogini River, which originates from the glaciers of the Dhauladhar Range.

To reach Jogini Falls, visitors can embark on a scenic trek that takes them through lush green forests, charming villages, and meandering trails. The hike to the falls is relatively easy, making it accessible to people of various fitness levels. Along the way, trekkers are treated to panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains, terraced fields, and the serene Beas River flowing through the valley.

As you approach Jogini Falls, the sound of gushing water becomes more prominent, building anticipation for the majestic sight that awaits. The waterfall cascades down from a height of approximately 150 feet, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. The water plunges into a pool below, surrounded by rocks and greenery, forming a picturesque and tranquil setting.

Jogini Falls holds great significance for the local community, as it is associated with the Jogini Mata Temple, located at the base of the waterfall. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Jogini, and it attracts devotees who come to seek blessings and pay their respects. The temple adds a spiritual touch to the overall experience of visiting Jogini Falls.

Apart from its natural beauty and religious significance, Jogini Falls also offers a refreshing escape from the bustling tourist areas of Manali. The peaceful ambiance and the soothing sound of the waterfall create a serene atmosphere that allows visitors to connect with nature and find solace in its beauty.

It is important to note that swimming in the pool beneath the waterfall is not advisable due to the strong currents and unpredictable water levels. Visitors are encouraged to admire the falls from a safe distance and follow any guidelines provided by the local authorities.

Jogini Falls is best visited during the summer and monsoon seasons, from April to October, when the waterfall is at its fullest due to the melting snow and increased rainfall. The lush green surroundings, blooming flowers, and the cool mist from the waterfall create a refreshing and rejuvenating experience for visitors.

A visit to Jogini Falls offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, adventure, and spirituality. It provides an opportunity to connect with nature, unwind in a serene environment, and witness the awe-inspiring beauty of one of Manali's...

A beautiful and scenic place to visit in Manali. It was so beautiful and breath-taking. The water there is so chilled. They also have maggi stalls to have a bit. Great place for scinic lovers and for honeymooner. Eye capturing beauty peace of mind sound of water its like a therapy which refresh the mind and soul tranquil place. You have to go for a short hike to reach there through the forest in old Manali. It is a must visit and was an awesome experience overall. Although the path was treacherous due to melting snow, the experience was well worth the effort. 10/10 would recommend. The view from the top is amazing. The trek to the top is also fun, especially in the winter when it is laden with snow. But the waterfalls in themselves aren't something special. The trek that is the main thing. Also, if you're going in snow, wear boots with good grips since it gets real slippery while climbing. Also there are a couple of dogs up there - who for some reason keep looking up the mountain. They know how to pose and make for good aesthetic pictures. From Vashisht temple can ask for road to Jogini waterfall, which is very beautiful. short 20 mins walk you will reach stream flowing from base of the waterfall. Another 25-30 minutes climb to the main place base where water falls into a pool of rocks.Carry waterproof jacket if you dont want to get soaked in freezing water. One of the beauty lies within the mountain is Jogini water Falls. Its water is so Pure and it falls straight from the top mountain caves. it's the small trek from Vashisht temple 2.5 Km. as you start trekking you will engulf with lush greenery and water falling through your way. The place is totally worth climbing and picturesque. Love the place and it's Calmness that it gives you sit there and just enjoy the sounds of the Jogni falls. please do take some time out and go with your friends on this trek trust me you won't regret. If you are planning to visit manali make sure you book your hotels near bashist or in old manali these are best places for cozy accommodation. For reaching jogini falls there is only one route and you have to reach there by trekking. You will come across amazing roads, Himachali women picking up cherries, waterfalls, cafés and many thing this is most enjoyable place in manali trust me. This is a moderate trek of about 2.5kms.The entire trek is quite enjoyable, small trees throng the path way and it is lush green all the way giving it a picturesque appearance. The top most point is beautiful we had a local guide who helped us cross the falls. As the water descends and hits the ground rainbow appears on the rocks. And yes one can have a bath up there it's amazing and there is a meditation point too to enjoy the...

I went in Oct 2021, and it was the best experience in Manali to visit Jogini Waterfall. It's 3 kms from main market or bus stand.

Manali is like a hidden settlement behind the mist of surprises and adventures. Every time you visit the town, you get to unveil another secret of its mystical existence. Jogini waterfall which starts from the famous Vashisht temple, Himachal Pradesh, is one-of-a-kind treks from Manali.

Jogini waterfall meaning is derived from the name of the daughter of Lord Indra – Jogini who is said to be taking bath under the waterfall for a long time. Interestingly, locals of the place Vashisht also believe that several deities still live under the waterfall and hence it is strictly prohibited to make noise while touring through it.

Well, other than mystic mythological side to the renowned Jogini falls, it offers you a tremendous experience of an amazing trek through an adventurous route. Initially, the trail will start with a moderate ascend and away through the mountain, but eventually, after some time, the trail will turn into a much steeper stony and muddy ascend.

You will be walking over a route where at one side will be the mighty mountains to help you climb but on the other side, you will have a large valley going down as far as you can see with clouds floating almost at your height. Isn’t it so magical? You walking over a lonely trail with gigantic mountains walking right to you and clouds floating left to you. The entire trek is marked with dense and shallow forests of Oak and pine, and also lovely apple orchids.

With Jogini falls trek distance of 6 km one side and an ascend to a height of 7,850 ft., it is considered as one of the most charming waterfalls in Himachal Pradesh. The trail finishes in such a way that by the time you are near to the sight, a melodic sound of the gushing waterfall starts ringing your ears and suddenly you see a sprinkling stream of crystal-clear water falling from a huge stony ridge, and forming several small rainbows on the ground.

The best thing about the trek to Jogini falls, is its serenity and aloofness from the bustling of crowded towns. Not many of the tourist in Manali think to explore the beauty of this hidden mystical waterfall, therefore trudging over the trail it will be mostly you and your pals alone in the lap of secretive nature. Jogini waterfall weather and temperature coincides much with the weather of Manali. Early winters and late summers are an absolute delight to take this adventure. The mild cold yet pleasant weather will be extremely relaxing and non – exhausting. Especially, in summers you can also take a dip in the pool of water which forms just under...
